No, and I'll take it further and state that Ras Kass has literally never impressed me with anything he's done, including the entire Soul On Ice album in its various iterations and his verse on "Come Widdit."
^^ Not sure why you think I'm some sort of huge Canibus fan, unless "Canibus was a beast in the 90s" strikes you as some sort of controversial opinion.
I'm kinda like you are with Ras but with canibus. I've never liked him and always thought he was wildly overrated.
It just kinda shocks me that anyone around during that era who was into the kinda rap we were into (I'm assuming we're all in the same age group in some respects and we all had somewhat similar taste in 93-94) could deny his verse on "Comewiddit" Or "Remain anonymous". "Soul on Ice" is often looked upon a little more fondly than I feel it deserves but it still has a bunch of great songs and amazing verses.
I hear you on the cramming syllables but I never felt Ras really went off beat...not on a level Kweli did, that's for sure.

I think I'm a few years younger than the average poster here, my teenage years occurred during the early Shiny Suit Era.
hahah at this nigga saying Canibus was a beast in the 90's but is not impressed by SOI. I bet Niggonometry blew this niggas mind back to the industrial revolution.
Soul on Ice is still the westcoast Illmatic to me, funny thing is he would've released golden child how it was intended he could've had a nas like resurrection.
Hard to believe he got out-rapped by a femcee I never even hearda but...as is such with Ras these days. Still, his shit was way better than any thing he been doin' in the past few years, easy.

And word to SOI being the westcoast Illmatic.
is it just me or is Ras looking very much like Ezal from Friday in this video?
