Just realized from listening to this that Captain Murphy is a character from Sealab 2020. Interesting piece of trivia: Capt. Murphy is played by John Stephenson, an accomplished voice actor who is 89 years old, has never given any interviews and is rarely seen in public at all, though he's been credited with upwards of 200 roles so far in his career.

Judging by the samples, it's more likely they're referring to Sealab 2021's Captain Murphy, voiced by (the late) Harry Goz. Especially given the Adult Swim / Brainfeeder / Flying Lotus connection. That's a good parallel as well though.

From a really good listen to this mixtape I've figured this to be a group

Captain Murphy: Tyler the Creator and Flying Lotus

At the end of one of the tracks I thought I heard Tyler clearly saying "two crews Odd and Brainfeeder", surprised noone else heard this but I'm sure I did.

Also anyone who's heard enough Tyler songs can tell from vocal tone when the effects go off the verses to the subject matter thats its mostly Tyler vocals, surprised this is even debatable.

Only 2 guest rappers I made out was Earl on one track somewhere in the middle and Vince Staples near the end.

I'm surprised this mixtape has more then one producer its really cohesive, but just hearing lyrics alone I feel this is at least 85% Tyler on the raps.

pretty sure Lee Bannon is on some of this production wise. There's a lot of sounds that he has been using for a minute and a few things he has recently been doing on here. The last track has that little baby thing that Timbo used on that aaliyah song, Bannon has been using that on like the last 6 songs i've heard from him recently on random artist tapes. Style wise it makes sense that he at least had his hand in a few of the beats on here. Just my theory.
