The thing is, I'm even comparing him to dudes who USED to go platinum, like DMX, Method Man, Redman, Ja Rule, Nelly, Ludacris, etc. and Rick Ross is not even a legend on the level of those guys, lyrically or conceptually, when you step back and look at what each of them has given to hip hop history.

I think what people get worked up over the most is that he was correctional officer that raps like he was always a drug kingpin. He denied for a while than admitted it. That fine line where real life and rap meet.
