nas doesn't believe in evolution either. neither does kat williams now that you mention it. i think it might be pretty common amongst a lot of blacks actually.. strong religion/spirituality and all..

honestly most of the knowledge i get of seattle hip-hop is from this board or facebook so i haven't heard of some of these .. i really like that kung fu grip song though..

and they mentioned this dude sam lachow! i've just been listening to him on account he used to live at my buddies house.. the other rapper in that banana goo pie song has a really dope voice , raz..

yeah i don't know, i mostly listen to older stuff like funkdaddy.. more recent stuff , black stax, actually has been the last group i was checking out because the trumpeter went to my highschool.. d. black went to my highschool or at least knew a bunch of people there .. that's how i heard about him.. seriously i just hear about stuff on facebook qwalms probably knows more about the local scene..

Seattle, along with Portland, get slept on in terms of the talent they got in those areas. Or maybe they don't get to hit up the east coast as much so that's why I never get to hear about them.

I guess this would be the thread for it. 4 of the people in that Seattle list are homies--Seattle is small like that. Should have included Key Nyata, he's one of the few that actually has national buzz in Seattle, but he doesn't fit into the "town biz" mentality that the scene has.

Raz Simone is dope. Been feeling some of Sam Lachow's shit. Check the "young seattle part 2" video for a decent showing of some local talent. I've been a Fatal Lucciauno fan for a while now but I can see how some people think he's kind of generic thug rap. Spaceman is dope. He's on the same label as Fatal Lucciauno and D.Black. I've been digging Avatar Darko since way back when he went by Avatar and was down with Oldominion. Jarv Dee is dope too. A few of the names on that XXL list ive never even heard of.
