Hip-Hop Tourism (NYC, Miami, New Orleans, TN, Detroit)

Hi guys,

Me and the missus are going to the US from July 8th - August 5th. The route will be something like NYC - Washington - Florida (Orlando, Gainesville, Miami, Tallahasse) - New Orleans - Memphis - Nashville - Detroit.

I'm looking for tips and pointers, especially in the hip-hop departement. We do have tickets to the Brooklyn hip-hop festival, but aside from that, any recomendations on what we should take in? Keeping in mind this will be my first trip to the states.
