I like the broken feeling about this and the drama lent by the swelling strings. I wish the chops were a little cleaner, and if the drums had the feeling of being played in the same room, either with the application of very light reverb or something else to unify the individual hits, it would lend a lot to that overall mood of the track.

Both of these remind me of Edan's Beauty and the Beat, albeit with a much more focused look at the psych loops without all the phasing and processing. The second one definitely feels more settled, but something about the changes in the first makes for a more interesting listen. I get a little lost in the transitions, but the whole piece is very tough. The end of the second beat with the flute loop atop the main groove is probably my favorite stretch of both pieces.

The rapping distracts me from listening to what is obviously a beautiful, lush instrumental with a very choice vocal sample. The quality of the vocals and the overall vibe of the beat remind me of some of my favorite DOOM and M.I.C. cuts, but I wish I could just listen to the beat itself.

on the second beat that snare is eating up a lot of room needs some reverb maybe? the cheers sample a little too cheesey for me but that second section it leads into is killer..

thanks man. will try that with the drums. and yeah chops need work too, i was going through old stuff i did when i first started and tried to "fix" this. chops were crazy before, have no idea what i was thinking.

the newest beat you posted is cool, i like the change up towards the end a lot. the vocal sample that comes in brings everything together nicely. the snare sounds a little too clean for my tastes

really liking the beat on this eich. raps are pretty good but you might want to let the beat ride for a bit at some point. the beginning and ending feel a little abrupt with you rhyming straight through start to finish and it makes it feel crowded as is. i think it would benefit from a few bars minus raps midway through and mabye letting the beat play out after you stop rhyming

Was REALLY with it until the entire other song came on over it for the chorus. Definitely way out of key, but I can appreciate what you were going for. But that beat is fucking dense. I like it. The weird gremlin voice was a dope touch and the guitar really works.

^ that's what i was thinking of. sole gets a bad rap on here. i don't think he's quite as bad as everyone seems to but it is definitely hard to get past the pretentious bullshit. he just seems like he's probably a huge douche in person. for what it's worth, i don't get that vibe from the few songs of yours that i've heard. it's more the beat, the sound of your voice and delivery that reminded me of this. and in terms of the mix/delivery, it could be a hell of a lot worse. i just miss some of what you're saying if i'm not really paying attention. liked the jeffrey dahmer/ dahmer party line. kinda surprised no one's flipped that before actually
