^^^ then why he rappin? :naswtf: :bunk:

"backwards husslin'", they call that in thurr streets.

Pusha is a dope MC, but the problem is: he's ONLY A DOPE MC. Pun intended and no pun intended.

Drake actually is an ~artist~ that, LOVE HIM AND/OR HATE HIM, is ACTUALLY evolving hip hop culture in new ways.

also, when it comes to bars:

Drake >>>> Kendrick Lamar

we could do a poll. we could do this however you ninjas want, ninja. :rofl:

DRAKE WILL WIN. As Drizzy very truthfully said: "Not on ANY platform is Kendrick Lamar beating me."

Comparing Drake to Kendrick or Pusha doesnt even begin to make sense.

Here are some artists you could compare to Drake and who are in the same category: Rihanna, Lady GaGa, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Robin Thicke.
These people make music in the same genre and for the same audience, Kendrick and Pusha are not relevant in that context.
Whether to Jason of Philaflava or John Podesta, I will speak my fucking perspective openly

No, and I still don't believe you would like Drake at all if he wasn't from Toronto.

If he was from New York, you'd say he's another example of how New York has lost his way; if he was from the South, you'd say he's destroying/polluting/DEvolving the culture; and if he was from the west coast, you'd say he bores you. You might give him a pass if he was from the mid-west, he might even be a guilty pleasure of yours, but you wouldn't ride out for him like this.

No matter where he was from, you'd probably still give him props for rapping about something other than guns, but I refuse to believe you'd be all over the nuts of a teen actor turned Lil Wayne hook maker turned pop icon.

C'mon. Seriously.

That K Dot "freestyle" seems like a BET promo, tbh. High five, tho.

Anyway...does anyone know if NWTS will be released on vinyl?

No, I still would love him if he was American. I'm dead serious. I don't LOVE EVERYTHING Drake. That's why I disagree with you.

I LOVE HIM AS A RAPPER. Dude's wit, wordplay, cleverness, flows, cadences, style, sound, and imagination is NEW. Yes, I have admitted that Drake is kind of like what you would get if you mixed Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Kanye and T.I. in a blender and poured it into a champagne glass. But I like his RAPPING. He's witty and sharp, moreso than most MCs these days, and I would enjoy him the same if he was from North Carolina or Seattle.

If he was from New York, he'd be even less famous I think, because he's got the outsider/new kid on the block thing working for him now. Noo Yawkers hate each other and want to tear down ALL their rap superstars because they ALL think that THEY are the next Curtis Jackson so why the fuck should we give any love to anyone else?

If he was from the South, he wouldn't be as clever with his lyrics because it's not as necessary as telling your story and spittin' game, and I wouldn't like him as much. If he was from the West Coast, he'd be more like Kendrick, which is: slightly less lyrical, then I wouldn't like him as much. If he was from the mid-west, and he came on some Common shit, then I'd be like "yessss" :ironmike:

but it ain't where ya from, it's where ya at... and Drake is at the top of the game.

Only one above him is Eminem, and we all know Marshall is America's White Knight and the modern day Elvis Presley of rap.

~~~
as soon as Kendrick Lamar threw shots at Drake in this BET cipher promo: DRAKE WON
heavy is the head that wears the crown, eh Aubrey? :cas:
Did you just say that Drake was more "lyrical" than Kendrick Lamar? Have you ever listened to his albums? Jesus.
They're both faggots but the response to Kendrick's control verse shut down the rap internet for a day or two. Unless he does a cover version of 'No Vaseline' with Frank Ocean a Drake verse will never do that.
Yeah, I'll go out on a limb and suggest the impact of Best I Ever Had was significantly larger than some overrated cameo verse :lol:
Exactly like Drake's album - only better. And less gay.
This is the type of music Drake wishes he was talented enough to make.
You're rapidly approaching step one/Jaz levels of borkery. Might be time to :winter:
I'm from Toronto, and I love to see Drake doing well. But anyone who says that he is a better rapper than Kendrick Lamar--whether flow-wise or lyric-wise--is out of their mind.
