Top 5 Videos

The Dream - IV Play

Perfection.

The Game - Ali Bomaye (Explicit) ft. 2 Chainz, Rick Ross
well done, sirs: 5/5

Mouse On Tha Track & Level - Get It Back (Official Music Video)
Mayne, FUCK that Louis Vuitton, mane

Plies - HUNNA - Official Music Video (Prod. by Filthy Beatz) [On Trial 2 Mixtape]
pretty well covered all the elements of hip hop, here: 10/10

T.I. - Wit Me (Explicit) ft. Lil Wayne
I'm always amused when a rapper has to rap a particularly foul verse in a video.

Let Jaz Down wrote:Rey, you really fucked with Beach House 2 with all its appalling cameo verses over Luca Brasi Story?
Brasi Story had a lot of stuff I was forced to skip around/ trim down to nearly half the mixtape, whereas Beach House 2 eventually grew on me as a project.

In reality, the hardest songs from Brasi Story probably got more play than did BH2 as a whole but they did so being combined together with stuff from Stranger Than Fiction.

Glad to see somebody else appreciates the Get It Back video.

No lie, I attempted a matching indigo LVC Canadian tuxedo with one of my chick's bandanas hanging from my pocket inspired by one of the T. Nash outfits in IV Play's video this summer but the bandana only lasted about 2 minutes because I felt like a plum.

Was a big fan of the My N*gga video personally. Always loved vids where dudes make Rap Hands in moving drop top caddys ever since I first saw Eazy in the Straight Outta Compton. Also adopted YG's screwfaces from the interrogation scene into daily IRL use.

Between New Slaves, Upper Echelon, and 10 2 10 Travis Scott is prolly the producer of the year. Either him or Mike Will.

I didn't.

Love Tell 'Em; think Feelings is a better concept than a song, though I wouldn't be mad if it blew up; and, as with Cocaine Riot 3, I'm disheartened at the lack of raw shit.

I'm not the most comprehensive hip hop listener here obviously, but my favorite this year was probably Danny Brown - Old.

Might also be the one person who regularly listens to Run the Jewels as I fall asleep. I rarely get beyond Banana Clipper (which btw was supposed to be on big boi's album I found out today. Weird). I just get so happy listening to it I fall asleep. Extra weird because I also love listening to it while I workout.

Is anyone else playing this Rico Love shit?

Everybody's Girl + Champagne + "El Presidente" have monopolized my speakers all week.

I'm not even familiar but I feel like I should fully endorse anyone who talks this much shit.

"They talkin' bout me in the Lear, I feel the hate up in the air"

I feel like these are records I wouldn't care for scattered around a 19 track retail album but condensed together I appreciate a succession of cohesive records (even if the sound is more clean and, um, polished than I would normally care for)

Also, I had always regarded that as French Montana's flow. I can't tell who's biting who. I guess I'll have to check his back catalogue after all.

Personal fave Chinx & French cuts as a duo: All About My Money and Pressure On My Head.

Re: the Drake situation. Embarrassed to admit that I ID-ed the November 17th sample straight away, and I have previous form with liking songs which feature Audrey samples.

Yes, big fan of this and "They Don't Know", until the parts where he starts rapping (Drake's fault really).
