you're missing out on early some of the fine writing. his early work is pretty great. download all 3, they're free.

Ras Kass' return is, in many ways, sadder than my own. He is stale and it shows.

This needs an instrumental companion.

I dont think ras is stale. He is still spitting some shit. Listen to the 1st verse of h2O. Hes just adapted that slow flow. I mean look at raekwon for example. The delivery is less intense. Maybe i am biased bc i think ras on his game is one of of the most gifted emcees of all time.

slow flows are usually adapted when you get older tho.

Yea i agree. But in my opinion u need to be sharper with the lyrics when u slow it up. It gives the casual listener more time to digest what is being spit. If ppl care to do that anymore haha. Nevertheless. Ras pen game still sharp

What madstadik said.

The mourning of aging rappers' past candences is ridiculous. You going to ask a jazz musician in his 70s to play with the same breath control, or to put down his instrument if he can't? Or do you enjoy watching him mature as an artist?

Grown up wrestling fans.

Im almost positive ras can spit with more energy but... Look at apollos beats. It isnt like they are beats you rap fast over

i've listened to a lot of rassy in recent years and he most certainly incorporates a slower flow and its not just found on this album either. it is what it is. i hate that saying but its true. a lot of cats do this, just look at how evidence sounds these days.

Will purchase at some point. I heard one track and it sounded dope as hell. Apollo is one of the best producers currently imo and Ras Kass is one of my favorite MCs ever so it's a no-brainer.

I still need to hear that Ugly Heroes shit now that I think about it, along with Clouds.

A preposterously bad effort, I place the blame more on Apollo Brown for his stale-ass Kanye+Madlib soul-type beats. If I hear another song start with 20+ seconds of some old sped-up soul song, I'm going to shell out the money for an MPC and start making my own shit.
