who are these people?

I'm too stupid to figure out how to embed tweets, but what I take from the above is that Rich Denninger (awesome name, btw) is down with either (or both) Cannibal Ox/IGC. Further research shows that Mr. Denninger likely did not have a twitter account prior to Mr. Aire's social media acknowledgment, and created one as an assurance for the receipt of his donation.

Which one of you pledged $1000?
I'm trying to talk my wife into letting me use our tax refund for this.

"WHAT HAPPENS IF GOAL IS NOT REACHED?
The project must reach it's goal in order for the packages to follow through. In the event that we dont reach out 30,000 goal, we IGC wanted ALL BACKERS TO RE-BACK us at end of the month when we restart the KICKSTARTER. The reality is if we dont reach our goal none of the money will be available to label.

At that point...we will have an idea of all THE REAL backers and will be able to reset the kickstarter with a number we are sure of. So please push this out and lets reach our goal. if not we shall try again! IF AT FIRST YOU DONT SUCCEED...TRY TRY AGAIN!"

it's hilarious that they need to do this knowing that if El-P was in the mix there would probably be labels lined up around the corner to fund it.

Vordul = Great
Vast = Gastric

I can't believe I ever liked Gastric Aire.

this shit feels more like a vast aire / 3rd rate el-p collab with some good old Vordul verses liberated from a rotting tape sitting in somebody's closet shoehorned in

and yea, for the umpteenth time I'm forced to wonder if Vast Aire just fell off in the worst way or if he always sucked and we all just had terrible taste back then or maybe were too young to know better

That should be the description on the Soundcloud page.

The production was nice, I thought. That's not the issue, and I think the whole "Can Ox is nothing without El-P's production" thing can be discounted. There's nothing El-P could do to help this, and I'm happy he's working with Killer Mike now. I think every Vastman verse that was not cringe-inducing was something recycled from Cold Vein. Vordul is a lot better on my ears, and it's too bad he's been unable to get out from behind Vast's considerable shadow.

did vast say "illogicality?"

his verses sound freestyled.

I think he just got gassed off himself to the point where he's become a parody of what he used to be.

I like the new single but I am one of the many that thinks the chemistry with El-P is missed and Vast sounds a lot better on these tracks than some of his previous material.

Gotham was a dope track. I wish em the best honestly. They have a great album and chemistry together. They should expand on it.

I agree. He was a really creative writer at one point.
