sounds like the storyline is all over the place.

This is....ok.

The beats are much more maximalist than I was expecting, but I guess that's to be expected with how his production has been lately. There's also too much singing for my liking, but Aftermath artists gotta eat. Some of it's a bit forgettable and tracks blur. Dre's rapping also sounds a bit like a Dre impersonator at times...there's just something a bit off, could be that he's adjusting to his new ghostwriters. Production wise it's incredible on a technical level but not a lot of it ends up really gelling.

Dre's still the master at dropping keys into tracks though.

i've only gotten a few tracks in. i was listening to it in my car and wasn't paying attention to what track i last listened to.
i guess one or two after the one that samples eazy-e.

so far the first song has a cool feel to it, but it isn't what i'd expect from dr. dre, and i could do without the singing.

the rest has just been boring so far.

i really don't need to hear dre's life story as told by dre, for it's been discussed before, and dude also seems to act like eazy would be his bff if he was currently alive.

or dre rapping about reality tv shows; i could do without that, also.

does this thing actually get interesting? what's the consensus on the cold187um track?

its cool

as usual, the back-up rappers are mediocre. And that fake Andre 3K cat gets annoying very quickly.

maybe just needs more listens. Production is straight. Dre's verses are pretty good too, esp the introspective shit.

the cold 187 song is alright but one of my least favorites. i think you guys are tripping. i love this record
besides the one's i already mentioned.. 'gone' is awesome and so are 'satisfaction' & 'one shot one kill.'

anderson .paak is also good throughout. i think that might be who you're calling a fake andre 3K (?)

Holy shit, that “Animals” joint #14 featuring Anderson.Paak and Produced by Dr. Dre & DJ Premier is fuckin DOPE!!!!! The rest of the album is ok... all the singing fucks it up to a degree in my opinion cuz it’s just too much. There’s three truly wack joints... #2 “Talk About It”, #9 “Deep Water” and #12 “For The Love Of Money”. All three are that HORRIBLE sounding Trap garbage. smfh Oh, and Dre’s rappin is good, I’m diggin it. Overall it’s a great Mainstream Rap album... I’d say a solid 7/10. I’m now gonna delete those three hoirrible Trap sounding joints and burn the album to CD to bump in the car tomorrow cuz that’s the TRUE test. haha

And I DL’d the leak around 5pm PST, about an hour before the live stream. Just sayin...

Saying what, exactly?

I thought you didn't fuck with downloads, how are you not waiting for the CD of this? And you're going to have a burned CD in your collection? What a fgt clown.

I don't know what to feel yet.. but that track with Cube was wack. Kendrick and Anderson Paak killed their shit and Talking to my Diary was dope.

I fuck with downloads when it comes to leaks. When I get the real thing then I delete the leak and throw away the burnt cd. Act like you already know, assface.

they're doing a vinyl release in a few weeks, so make sure you throw away your CD too.

Anyways, in comparison to other current Mainstream/Commercial albums, this shits all over them, but this album compared to Dre's last album "2001" in 1999, well there's literally no comparison cuz that album is arguably a modern day classic.

BETTER THAN THE CHRONIC!
Just kidding.
I only have just skimmed through it but it sounds like it got some joints. I agree the singing on almost every track gets tiresome but the beats sound dope and that dude Anderson Paak seems like the one new guy from Dre's stable I would wanna hear more of. Obviously, gotta give it a proper listen.
