But Life After Death was close. That's saying a lot considering it's one MC against 9 MC's. The fact that Biggie was able to keep a whole double album interesting speaks volumes of his abilities.

You didn't list Blueprint 2, but I think that one is really good too, probably would be my third pick

All Eyez On Me and the Outkast double LP are kinda ehhhh, not really my thing.

Really, really wanna hear Street's Disciple. If I enjoy it more than Blueprint 2, I will be satisfied.

i've been banging wu forever lately again (as well as iron flag which i think is slept on) so you know i had to go with the wu.

though i think it works as a double disk i'm still always tempted to think "what if" they had kept only the certified bangers and just released it as one 18 song single disk. it would've been like :shock: .

i'm even pleased with the order they're ending up in. good thing THESE votes are actually counted.

wu by a landslide followed by all eyez with big closely behind. speakerboxx not only last, but zero votes. couldn't be more perfect.

I picked Outkast. All Eyez On Me has always been a little overrated to me, even if i love a few songs from it. Life After Death is largely scattered. Wu Tang Forever has a disc-worth of classic songs. I would pick it in most cases.

But Outkast has an album and a half of heat, if not more. Fuck the haters. Don't get it twisted, I love Wu Tang Forever, I just got a hoodie made based on a line from it (Too Black For BET). Unfortunately, to this day, I only listen to maybe 9 songs on Wu Forever, as opposed to 14 songs i STILL bump on the Outkast joint.

So come and fucking kill me.

die fucker die. no just joking, but just to argue, i made a 'one disc mix' of wu tang forever too, and i don't even classify speakerboxxx as a hip hop release (so come and fucking kill me. lol) BUT i'd put the 3 best tracks off wu tang forever up against the 3 best tracks off any of the other albums ANY DAY.
wu tang forever was too far before it's time (possibly the same for speakerboxxx ask me in 10 years) but as the years went by, the amount of times i dusted off wu tang forever and re-experienced it, and realized how much shit i missed last time, is priceless.

6 as high as wu-tang get

(7 PERFECTLY epic songs in a row, including the INTRO, unheard of)

this, to me, might have been the best hip hop release of all time.

I would put TRU's TRU 2 da Game higher than Outkast's hunk of shit.

There are a lot of dope songs on TRU 2 da Game, but as usual, could definitely be condensed (the first disc is the heatrock though).

wu-tang is the most consistent but for me the best is easily life after death...it has more classic songs on it than all the other albums combined

however if youre not limiting it to studio albums then the best hip-hop double album of all time is full clip

Yeah it's just studio albums for this poll. Originally, I had the idea to put Full Clip & The Sounds of Science on it, but later realized that it is unfair to put full albums with certified bangers on it up against ones that didn't.
