Between Artifacts and EPMD...
Artifacts. They had better chemistry than anyone else listed. It's too bad they hate each other now.

I went with Q-Tip and Phife because of how well they work together. I feel a lot of the other duo's can come dope individually whereas with Q-Tip without Phife and vice versa it feels like somethings missing.

<----- First vote for Red & Meth..
As usual.. but, dispite only having one album out together, i've probably listened to it as much as I did Outkast's first three albums..

EPMD the rap american dream team, always have been always will be, why? the chemistry between E & P, the classic records, the incredible longevity and the sheer fact that they are responsible for duos like
Outkast (think about it)
Smif N Wesson and a million others.

Rae and Ghost. The chemistry is undeniable.
If you decided to allow Phife and Q-Tip as a selection, surely you could've put up Posdnous and Trugoy by these same standards?

damn, thats too hard to say, it depends on what year.
2005?!?!? NONE of the above.
1985-1990-FLAV AND CHUCK D/run d.m.c.
1990- EPMD
1992- dre and snoop
1993- tip & phife
1994- artifacts
1995- red & meth/rae & ghost
1996- outkast/mobb deep
i couldn't begin to know how to vote.

yes but all of these came after EPMD ...so EPMD influenced all of them.

Rae and Ghost. Get them on a track together and magic happens.

Just because something comes first doesn't mean it is better.

Twas a tough one...
All nasty duos with permanent places in my collection..
Had to go with Run DMC.
Whatever the criteria for best duo, they've got it on lock.
(I will put down an honorable mention for Smif n' Wessun. Tremendous chemistry).

great thread and all the selections are good.
i loved epmd and nobody can touch their earlier stuff. this is a tough one, cuz tip & phife had great chemistry on LET and MM, and you can't front on Run-DMC.
i went with epmd. as much as ghost and rae are explosive together, they ain't really a group, so i had to vote based on who was the best duo in a group.

Shit, I knew there'd be at least one major player I'd forget. Peace to De La. Camp Lo deserves a mention as well.
My Jersey heads need to step up and vote for Tame & El.
And yeah, I should have known better than to include Rae & Ghost.

I swear I could have put U-God & Ghostface Killah and the outcome would have been the same.
Or Vanilla Ice & Ghostface. Or Ghostface & Rhombus The Unpredictable. You people disgust me.

Damn, cats are sleeping on OK.
No one gives Prince Po his due credit for that group, and PM is undeniably    most of the time.
Pharaohe can still drop sick verses with ease, but not a decent album or full-length song (the Jadakiss syndrome), and Po is now garbage, proving the sum was greater than it's parts...

Pharoahe and Prince Po just because they are underated especially these days.
2 classic albums and they mesh perfectly.
I wish they'd get back together
