Strongly disagree, easily the best beats Roc's had this year IMO. I love Caught A Lick, the other one, Wormhole, not as much. Wormhole's really the only beat on the whole thing I don't love. Shit I'm On and Rolls Royce Rugs are my favorite songs he's put out this year narrowly over Amethyst and Fabio. Roc's beat's have really been lacking for a while now and it's refreshing to hear him let a great producer fully take the reigns. Sounds like a Mach/Muggs full length is in the works too.

Hm, I thought his beats on Dark Horse were so on point. Really can't find a bad thing to say about that record. Different strokes...

Listened to it a few times, but Kaos is a mixed bag to me. Then again I still think RR2 is Roc's best project he's released this year, so what would I know?

the weakest marci release this year. i think he sounds best on his own, or on the beats of his regular collaborators (arch druids, alchemist). i also think he got a bit lazy with the pen on this one, but then again - its his 3rd release this year... "aunt bonnie", "rolls royce rugs" and "shit im on" are my favorites off of "kaos".

shit i'm on is my favorite roc track this year. haven't checked out the rest of the album yet, outside of white dirt, shit i'm on, and wormhole... don't care much for the other two

Yeah "Shit I'm On" is the definite standout for me too. That's what I was thinking about when I was talking about the most melodic, lightest, more uncharacteristic Muggs beat being the best on here...

I love roc but sometimes I picture beetlejuice from the wack pack when he rhymes. Maybe it’s just the midget size? The little person voice? Both? Must be me. Must be the shit I’m on.

Marci-A-Lago is the best rapper in the game right now. KAOS is another notch in the King's belt.
SHIT IS LUXURIOUS.

I was mistaken about Wormhole, it's incredible, they must have shit mis-labeled on the leak, there was another trappy song on there I didn't like and it was (thankfully) left off the official album. Love this shit from front to back now.

wait the leak is different then the official release?
Muggs did mention that there was a bonus track on the Vinyl version, maybe that's where the different tracks come in here.

It’s the Twist your Wig song that’s gone, it was listed as wormhole on the version I had and the actual Wormhole was listed as Outro

Really good shit. Roc is Top 5 of the last 5 on influence alone. Dude started a genre.
Probably not put out anymore albums for like a little, no?

Part of me hopes he drops another before year's end just to make the point then disappear for another 3-5 years on some villain shit.
That being said, I think it's safe to say the value of Metal Clergy - Piece Be With You has never been higher than right now.
After Grief Pedigree and Reloaded both dropped in 2012, anticipation was high, no doubt, but neither rapper had gone on a run like what we've since seen from both.

Going to see Roc perform Friday night in DTLA. Should be dope. I saw him a few years ago at a Killah Priest/Ghostface Killah show and he killed it.
I wasn't feeling Kaos except Shit I'm On. Behold A Dark Horse is okay, it has three tracks I love and the rest is whatever to me. RR2 is excellent.

really curious to give this a whirl, always enjoyed him as a producer but never thought his beats would make a good standalone instrumental album. they make sense more in symbiosis with his lyrics than something that can stand up on its own. but we'll see
