So he is making a 1970s light jazz album?
Rap is out of control!

It's also cool that he put 90s R&B superstar John B on the cover.

that baby cover is too much like 'Ready to Die'

it's better than 'Thank Me Later' though

if it wasnt for Wicked's Thick Whyte appreciation in P&B this would be the gayest thread on here by some distance.

I DO have a hat like that, and I DO have a shirt like that.

I DO grip microphones. I DO like champagne, even (no papi). But I do not have dreadlocks anymore.

well, off the top:
- dropped a previously unavailable LL Cool J joint in TROY (for the second time in less than a year)
- posted a up a few new releases in M2C that I thought others might find interesting like Black Milk, GooGie, Rapsody & Jeru/Large Pro.

most significantly I refrained from fawning over a rapper whose target demographic is 15 year old white girls and decided against debating the hypothetical sales figures of various pop stars as though its some sort of indicator of artistic merit or holds any importance at all in this day and age.
I also avoided starting a thread that made a completely inappropriate and inaccurate comparison to a major character in a popular TV drama, which would only have served to highlight my inability to understand the programme in question.

You're welcome.

I'm glad you can answer with actual contributions instead dousing us with the usual serving of your bitter, crusty, cynical brand of imported whine

Yeah, Drake's target demo is "teen girls", they love that "5 AM In Toronto" softbatch shit
hey, I didn't know I'd be friends with one of the most popular musicians on the planet when I was posting here 5 years ago.
Started from the bottom, now we here :smugkid:
don't hate on the YOTMB for being some beautiful type of heaven, just enjoy the blessings

and thanks for being SLIGHTLY more human than you normally are. I don't give a fuck if you hate everything that North Americans make in the realm of music and culture: just do more than fucking COMPLAIN about it. At least give some fucking WEAK APPROXIMATION OF ORIGINAL INSIGHT ABOUT THE TOPIC IN THE THREAD. :ohhh:

So you hate Drake. YES, WE THANK YOU FOR THE FUCKING GENIUS COMMENTARY, Stepchildabuse. Anything else to add??

big up on the LL Cool J song, that's nice. I don't go to TROY though, so :kanyeshrug:
and thanks for the other stuff. as long as you are CONTRIBUTING SOMETHING, and not just CRITICIZING EVERYTHING, then you are a part of the solution around here, not a part of the problem :leon:

SO HOW ABOUT THEM DRAKE NUMBERS, EH? we gonna take bets on this? :gyeah:
I STILL THINK HE'S GONNA DO A MILLION HIS FIRST WEEK, HA HA HAAA :copy:
