i have to believe the only reason why eminem went on the fast rap steez in rap god is because of mac lethal
im fiending for a new great rap battle
mac lethal vs eminem, i would totally be down with that
even if not a battle i want eminem to say hes been paying attention at least

but also, Em probably did that fast rap to go on record as having the NEW "dead in the middle of Little Italy"
which is why I feel like he referenced Big Pun with the "packinamac in the back of the Ac" line earlier in the song

"Rap God" is worlds better than the previous few leaks but I'm pretty sure I don't want to hear MMLP2 if it's full of this shit.

Kinda. He says some shit on Rap God about how he gets shit for mixing hip-hop with rock and whatnot, and that's where the problem lies. Like most rappers, Eminem has absolutely horrendous taste in music outside of his genre. I'm willing to bet he owns at least 3 POD albums. So when he tries to make his "rock" songs, they sound like they're made by someone who owns 3 POD albums. He raps so proficiently on "Rap God" that I don't even notice the beat though. That's what a great rapper does. Nas has the same problem but sometimes he raps so viciously that people don't give a fuck.

personally i think flow and wordplay can take a song pretty far, regardless of beat and subject matter.
