I wouldn't say that Hijack are overrated, but "Horns Of Jericho" is, if that makes any sense.

You gotta add the non-album tracks to really get a feel for how dope they were.

I like a lot of the deep album cuts too. "Back To Brixton", "Syndicate Outta Jail", etc.

A lot of people will not be able to get past Kamanchi Sly's accent, but he really was a terrific MC. Best rapper to ever come out of the UK besides Slick Rick, IMO.

It used to serve a purpose when Blastmaster, B-ware, Rey and Magneto were constantly uploading new mp3s and when used as a platform to bait Mindbender into emoticon explotions of self-justifying delusion, denial, defiance and dementia (the running order of the 4 elementz on which all internet faggotry is based, proven best by NJJ, NiggaTodd, Will High and Ithithkle) but now in the post-XXL/2DopeBoyz/NahRight et al era when Gloss even has his in-site blog dedicated to new rap and Mindbender's meltdowns appear to be primarily P&B based, M2C is superfluous.

I really do believe that.

Their first 3 albums are 5 mics to me and their 4th album is a strong 4 mics. " The Love Moment" was not as good, but I am also taking into account their 12"'s, which feature tremendous remixes and in some cases dope B-sides or supplemental joints.

And when I say 5 mics, I am talking about the real ratings, from back when mics actually meant something. People who love Tribe tend to be a little over the top with their love, and the haters tend to be a little over saturated with hate to be taken seriously.

As always, I challenge you to tell me a better group. I am not saying that you are, but a lot of the hate seems to come from people who were not around when Tribe actually dropped, rather from kids who listen to them in retrospect.

Same goes for the whole " Guru is boring" argument. If you were around in 90 and 91, 92,93,94 etc; you would never say Guru was boring or Gangstarr is wack. It is east for clowns to say that when they started listening in 2001 or some shit.. And on the real, even tho they front, most dudes on the net did start listening to them then. I do not know anyone who was coming up in the late 80's and early 90's like myself who says Gangstarr is wack. That is crazy talk. A lot of young, clueless dudes on the net. Not saying you cause I do not know you, just saying in general.

nah, i think it's probably Illadelph Halflife. They never got iller than that, with their albums.

Organix is dope, but Do You Want More is better.

and the Roots will probably keep sabotaging themselves until they are the last remaining group on earth, and THEN they MIGHT get the props they've always said nobody gave them.

Styles P is a generic rapper with an ugly voice and no appeal. He wastes great beats.

I enjoy Joe Budden's video blogs.

Kanye West - 808's & Heartbreak is a really, REALLY good album front to back.

Mos Def, Lauryn Hill, Ras Kass and Dead Prez all have an obnoxious air of racism to me.

There are times when I think to myself: 00s > 90s

I know it is more of an Ep than an LP, especially by today's standards but they got a release..
If it comes out five years after they broke up, and they had no say in it, it's not an album.
