I turnt that shit off when Jarobi started reminiscing over pre-chewing Phife's food. That nigga definitely a homsex.
Thun's assessment of Phife is 99% on point. I disagree that Phife was expendable, but he is a lazy, entitled fuck. Gimpy, malnourished lookin dude too.
Tip is pretty insufferable, but he's the genius.
Ali seems the most down to earth.

caught this last night, thoroughly enjoyed it. I can see why Tip might've been opposed to this cut, as it can make it seem like he was very insensitive to Phife's health condition at times, but I didn't get the impression that he was an asshole. All 4 members each have their own ways of coping w/ shit, but all 4 came off as good dudes I thought. Phife's got a solid woman by his side

and why do some of u think Tribe would've been the same w/ just Tip sans the other 3? It doesn't even matter if Tip was the #1 creative force behind all their shit, and he was indeed responsible for say, 90% of all their success & output, and the other 3 contributed 10%. That shit doesn't matter in my book, it's all fuckin hindsight anyways. It wouldn't even be the fuckin "Tribe" to begin with. It'd be just Q-Tip or whatever name he comes up w/ as a solo artist. Maybe the music would've been the same with Tip using all of the exact same beats from the 1st 3 albums as songs for solo albums. Maybe u would've liked it w/ just Tip on the solo during that time, or maybe u wouldn't have. But if u loved their shit as Tribe then knowingly or not you're admitting it wouldn't have been the same w/o the other 3. 'Cause Tribe, with 90% being Tip & 10% being the other 3, is what made them Tribe. Personally I wouldn't give Tip that high of a credit for the group's shit as some of u do. Of all the years I've listened to their music, I never once thought, "Damn, I wish this album was w/ just Tip on it," or "i wish it had just Phife rhyming on it" for that matter. The way they did it with each contributing their respective proportion to the overall output was fuckin perfect for me.

Been a while since I posted one of these, but felt it deserved to be shared.
Michael Rapaport was on The Ron & Fez Show (XM 105/Sirius 206, 11a-3p est) today to promote this film. You could tell that he really enjoyed the questions and insight that he was getting from Ron.
