So after this shooting, Live Nation cancelled or postponed a bunch of rap shows in NY, some of them supposedly because of recommendations by NYPD. General consensus through the city is that it's going to get harder to book rap shows again. Big rap-oriented events that aren't even real concerts are also feeling pressure and increased police presence, without any specific threats or history of violent incidents. This is probably gonna cause some shitty ripples going forward.

The six shows were to be split evenly between Irving Plaza and Gramercy Theatre. Joey Bada$$ was scheduled to play Irving Plaza Thursday night, with Mac Miller set to appear Friday and Vince Staples scheduled for Saturday. At Gramercy, Guns N' Roses cover band Appetite for Destruction was scheduled for Friday night, with Canadian rock duo Black Pistol Fire appearing Saturday and YG set to perform Monday night.
