Lists like these are impossible and there's no way to not overlook songs, just going off the top of your head. But i think we can all agree with that...No way I'mma try the 90's but the 80's is more doable cause I didn't start REALLY caring about shit till 86-87 (when sampling became prevalent) so most the stuff before that isn't my shit. And, this is a list of favorites not "best",
right? So i can leave off all the old school classic shit like La di da di and white lines.

1)On the run- The jungle brothers
2)Super hoe- BDP
3)Ain't no half steppin- Big Daddy Kane
4)Poison- Kool G rap and polo
5)Whirlwind pyramid- The DOC
6)Don't believe the hype- P.E.

14)Do it like a G.O.: Ghetto boys
15)Dick almighty: 2 live crew
16)Road to the riches: Kool G rap and Polo
17)So whatchu sayin: EMPD
18)Young gifted and black: Big Daddy Kane
19)J beez coming through- Jungle brothers
20)Parental discretion is advised: NWA
21)Why do you think they call it dope? : LL cool j
22) The symphony: Marley marl

Stop being so precious and drop some 90s lists, motherfuckers.

It's not complicated: just pick 25 songs you'd want on a desert island playlist.

by step one
Common Sense – Resurrection (Extra P remix)
Nas – Memory Lane (or The World Is Yours)
Raekwon, Ghostface & Nas – Verbal Intercourse
Real Live – Money And Shows
Mobb Deep – Still Shining
Pete Rock & CL Smooth – TROY
Dr Dre – Let Me Ride
Ice T – New Jack Hustler
Gang Starr – Mass Appeal
Souls Of Mischief – 93 Til Infinity
Biggie – Everyday Struggle
A Tribe Called Quest – Footprints (or Lyrics To Go)
Raekwon & Ghostface – Rainy Dayz
Redman – Tonites Da Nite (or Funkorama)
Dr Dre – Still DRE
Lace Da Booms – Cut That Weak Shit
Black Moon – I Got Cha Opin remix (or Buck Em Down remix)
UMCs – One To Grow On
Nas – Nas Is Like

Camp Lo – Coolie High (Paradise mix)
Ice Cube – My Summer Vacation (or When Will They Shoot)
Jeru The Damaja – Jungle Music
Group Home – Supastar
Main Source – Just Hangin Out

Obviously tough. There's a real difference between the early/mid 90s and the late 90s. Feels weird putting something like Still DRE in there with UMCs.
