Tribe dropped less material than the wu though... sporadic thru the 00’s with solo stuff... enough to stay fresh i suppose and not completely burn out. Dre’s album came and went and frankly it wasnt very memorable or will it be a timeless classic like the Chronic and 2001

exactly. and it was better than tribe's album.
i was happy to ignore this current mathematics project shamefully disguised as a wu tang official group album, but i randomly heard a joint off it with a nice beat that reminded me of wu banga so i'm gonna DL.

Wu will always be my favorite group by a large margin but nothing they've done collectively or individually in this decade would actually make me want to listen to this. The best outcome I can image is 'this sucks less than I expected it too', which is pretty bleak. A small miracle like that Tribe album is possible but there was far less evidence of those guys falling off than there is in this case.
Basically
The truth is wu tang probably shouldn't be making new music anymore, they're beyond past their prime now.

EDM generally has terrible opinions on everything, or at least tries to so people respond to him.
