Damn I meant to post about this right after I finished the book while it was fresh on my mind but I forgot what thread this was in.

The book read like a long ass magazine article. For some, that will be good. I didn't like the pics/documents that broke up the flow and made it seem like a magazine article/ janky rap book. Didn't like the quotes at the beginning of each chapter. And the part after Pimp's death was way to long and drawn out.

Besides that it was great. Learned a lot of stuff that is nowhere else. Particularly the Master P hotel situation, some J Prince shit, his mental heAlth issues, drug use, dabs in drug smuggling/selling, and the making of most of the important songs in ugk catalog.

Probably the best biography on a musician I've ever read and I've read a lot
Can't agree with this unless you are talking about pure content which of course is gonna be biased to our liking. Almost every jazz artist's auto/biography is written much better than this.
