his lifestyle/personality is 80 percent of his appeal. he's not really that interesting as a rapper tbh

As a rapper he's very interesting because he's, you know, good at it. I'm not too concerned with his eating habits.

If he doesn't literally die of a heart attack, I think his lifestyle and eating habits are actually what's going to sustain his career going forward. It's not a stretch to imagine that within 5 years or so he's gonna transition to being a travel/food show host full time, like a stoned rap-game alternative to Bourdain. It's a smart move for him... he's already pretty close or at the peak of what he can do as a rapper, he doesn't really have much more room to grow in the persona he's created for himself. The Fuck That's Delicious episodes already get him as much spotlight as the music does, it's only natural to build off that further.

Absolutely! Hey, maybe he'll get a sitcom. Maybe he'll be in "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 3"! Rappers with a personality are always in demand yo. However, from a technical proficiency perspective, I'll take AB over Ice-T, Will Smith, Xibit, Method Man (because all of his solo albums suck) any day. This guy, this guy is a lot of fun too. He gunna be a star.

And y'all were in here enjoying this trash?
Show of hands on the heads who are feeling this shit again
Worst and most corporate A&R'd project of the year....whole shtick is played out including the Big Body drops....whole album sounds forced. Maybe that's why I been feeling like his rhythm is off.
Terry the best joint on here but that's because it sounds like some old Ghostface shhit

Yeah. By far the best songs were already released. I realize I like the idea of liking Bronson more than I actually enjoy his music or go back for repeated listens. He's all personality. His YouTube clips/Cooking Shows >>>>>>>>>> His music.

lol I loved it but it's basically his TPBA/Electric Circus type prog rap album with 80s rock instead of jazz/funk, so I'm not surprised to see people react negatively to it

I agree his YouTube clips are more entertaining than his music these days, but this album is exactly what I expected with Paul Rosenberg behind it.

I didn't expect him to push his love for November Rain type shit to this extent, was dying laughing when he started doing power ballads in the mid stretch
Not sure how this will age but first listen was one of the most fun first time spins of any rap album on recent memory for me. TBH I actually didn't expect much and thought this was gonna be a more polished rehash of the Blue Chips formula, which to a certain extent it is but he also takes it further into lunatic territory and I'm glad he did. Humor is solely missing from rap these days.

Had no idea he was his manager.

i got about 3 songs in last night then got distracted with some other stuff, so i've yet to finish it. that big body bes part sounds so forced and stupid. wasn't that billy joel shit supposed to be a sample? that track sounds like a band reconstruction, an interpolation. that's way cheaper than clearing a sample. makes more sense.
i dug the singles, but the first few tracks are a snooze fest so far.

Only listened to it once, but shits pretty dope. Doesn't compare to the stuff he was doing in '11 & '12, but it's still good. Will give it a little bit of time though.

Mark Ronson personally wrote a to Billy Joel to clear the "Zanzibar" sample.
