audio anyone?
I kinda like some rhymes here,
why don't you record some of them..
or you're just excercising for a ghostwriter career?

Just a little introduction
I wrote these bars last week. I've had an urge to write for a while now, and I feel like it's about time I get serious about it. I don't have any full verses yet, just fractions of potential or eventual verses. I know this isn't really much to judge, but any criticism is appreciated. How do it sound, ?
My heartbeat is metronomic - but
My vocal cords are suisonic - and
Don't it seem ironic that these blue flatlines
Support these messianic phonics
I'm on it, but I would never spit these sonnets
If it wasn't for the promise that I'll be piloting comets

from one polyp to another I hope its not a tumor, but more barnacles
life live live fuck five I need a chain with more barnacles

CTR Showcase 2: RBG
General:
Taj: First off I'd like to give you props for being one of the most consistent solid posters in CTR.
RBG: Thanx, chief. It seems hardly anyone posts there now though. lol
Taj: Tell the people of where your at...
RBG: Straight outta Compton! nah, southern cali in general, though as a kid i lived in Compton for a while. Got fam there.
Taj:How did you get into writing?
RBG: It's something I've always been into. My mom was always big into literature and reading. She said when she was younger she used to write a lot (and well) too. There's a lot of creativity on my mother's side of the family. I was a voracious reader as a kid and my teachers always praised my writing in English classes, so around 14 or so I really started writing seriously for myself. Poetry and raps, short stories sometimes. I wrote poetry first, and then I saw my best friend in high school's notebook of rhymes, and it made me realize I could write rhymes too. I figured why not.
Taj: Where do you find your inspiration?
RBG: I won't lie, women often inspire me. But other than that sometimes things I'm listening to or reading at a certain time will influence me to write certain things. Its rare, but sometimes political situations or current events will also serve as a spark of inspiration.
Taj: Name some artists you admire:
RBG: Aceyalone, Ghostface, R Kelly, Common, EE Cummings, Pablo Neruda, Ingmar Bergman (R.I.P.), Burning Spear, Baatin from Slum Village. There's a lot.
Taj:Do you have some audio clips (or albums we can cop)
RBG: I have posted a few freestyles and things I've done in CTR and mostly in the Sound Lab. Nothing too serious or professional. Maybe one day.
Taj: Can we get an audio sample of your work?
RBG: Yeah, I can post some stuff up later when I get home. Maybe I can even record something new for yall this weekend. Give me a reason to get off my ass and do something.
Taj: Who are you favorite (dream producers):
RBG: Jay Dilla (R.I.P.), Madlib, Large Professor, Pimp C, David Banner, Ski Beatz, Mumbles, Pete Rock, Diamond D, Q-Tip.
Taj: What types of music are you into?
RBG: All kinds. Soul, Jazz, Reggae, Brazilian music, latin music, some psych rock, some electronic music. I'm always looking for new sounds, or older records I haven't heard. If I could do anything for the rest of my life it would be just to seek out all the dope music that the world has to offer. There's just too much out there waiting to be heard.
Taj: How long have you been creating raps/poetry?
RBG: More than a decade, since I was like a freshman in high school. Me and my mans made a little short joint for this music class we were in. It was hype. The poetry really started first though. I read Khalil Gibran's The Prophet at an early age and it was always and still has remained a huge influence on me. Probably what first made me wanna write poetry.

Taj: On the Philaflava forums you are one of only a couple more poetry minded cats, do you feel like poetry and rap go hand in hand?
RBG: I feel like rap falls under the umbrella of poetry to an extent, but I don't know if they go hand in hand. Most poets can't rap and vice versa. But i do think they're related. Poetry, and even prose, at its best is musical and rhythmic. They have that in common.
Taj: What check the rhyme posters do you check for?
RBG: Magneto comes through with heat. Thun, I'm not his biggest fan, but his wordplay can be clever, if I can't always read where his flow is. foiegras is crazy, sometimes I'm in the mood for that. habit's cool. But like I said, hardly anyone posts anymore. I wish Tayo would post more. I've always been a huge fan of his writing.
Taj: Have you ever gotten lovin from hiphop groupie (sorry couldnגt resist)?
RBG: Come on, dogg. At this point, she's more like my sister. Do you get lovin from your sister?!
Taj: Off the top word association:
Anticon
This is a good and a bad label.
Ghostface
The Almighty Ghost-Deini. You mufuckin crybabies! Get in line, punk.
Southern
Crunk and Trill.
Mindbender
Space creature.
Jason Gloss
Jew.
Wu Tang
jocked by the wayyyy too hard. obviously one of the GOATS though.
Premier
his time is up. He had a great run.
Lil Wayne
ghey.
Iגd also like to give you the opportunity to pop off, promote your work and express yourself. Feel free to express your thoughts.
RBG: Well thanks. I'd just like to say thanks for giving me this opportunity. Kind of makes me feel like I should start writing more again. That's never a bad thing. Also I wanna shout out my boy, Vex Ruffin, I want yall to check for his beats and shit. Dude is dope. I will probably post up his album, Wine and Dine, from earlier this year for the Philaflava public to admire. I want everyone to hear this shit. We sold it earlier in the year, but we're just gonna give it out for free. Plus there's other stuff cats should here. A project he did called The Pink Box a couple years ago. I got a cd full of outtakes from that, some dope shit in there.
Also, I don't update it much, but cats should check my blog http://nevertravelled.blogspot.com). If i felt anyone was lookin at it, I would put more effort into it. Just a music blog mostly.
Peace

My opinion, I like some and don't like others in regards to the tracks.
I'm going to give it a better listen than on these computer speakers though. I'll drop some better feedback soon. For real though, if you want to work on something I'm down to give you some beats.

how about you ease up on the hotdogs?
out like three strikes or three dykes
either way you view it the concept more fluid
couldn't be more def until a lyor (liar) fought the name
another stark instance of how cats bought the game
no more kabuki holograms, cops is selling space suits to crackheads
and rappers just going for the green and leaving behind the black and red
full circle theory seems futile then underneath the mask of dumile
are hungry artists regardless of their novice making and shaping creating
