Saw that Sean P said the cover was corny on twitter. The album got some burn wit me once or twice but replay value is low. It's kind of boring. I expected more Monster Babies. Sounds a little like Black Milk tried to level the playing field a little for Guilty. Just by changing beats on Price....and having him redo verses that supposedly got "lost".
yeah that wouldnt surprise me. Black Milk has way better beats than what he did on this album and its not like any of the beats are wack, he just didnt bring the A game to me.
i like the album tho, solid performances across the board. it was all hinged on how good Guilty sounded to me since he doesnt have alot of material.
Shit is cool but I wouldn't go overboard there are several weak/average songs. Black Milk balances his sounds well and his drums are spaced well with his samples. There's some annoying beeping shit on some of the beats with his synth style. Definitely a good album though Random Call, The Hex, Chewbacca, and 4 In the Box all stand out.
Sean Price and Guilty Simpson spit dope they make a good rough combo. I don't know why y'all don't like Guilty but whatever I think he's got a unique delivery and nice rhymes.
Sean Price: Yeah, well. Hold on a second. (Pauses). I got my wife going to get the album cover, man. (laughs). I just got a physical copy of it yesterday. I donגt know nothinג man. I just went to Detroit and rapped and Black did the rest. I donגt even know the name of the songs (laughs). Iגm dead ass serious.
vinylpops wrote:Consistent but kinda boring. Black Milk seems to save the scrunch face stuff for himself. There are some good tracks, but this should have been an EP.
i couldnt have put it better, i didnt get illyfaced at all on this album, but each Black Milk album theres plenty of that to go around.
