crazy, but true, that alc has stayed in his lane for a long ass time. like 16 years at least, huh?
and he hadn't done much in the name of crossing over, unlike muggs who tried his hand at trap beats
this and last year.
you'd think he'd run out of samples, but no.

Also, girls, this is the question that was originally asked before your panties get too far up your cracks:

Answer: Harry Fraud.

You can disagree, but you're a bitch if you do.

Fraud has some good shit, no question, but in terms of samples he uses and how he uses them he's still where Alc himself was during the earlier stages of his career. Alc has lapped him now with that stash of psychedelic treasures, wherever the fuck he found them; and more that just using these sounds in a routine way, he's actually making unusual proggy beats out of them. Fraud's productions are simpler and more formulaic. I don't think Fraud is capable of making some thing like Russian Roulette. Not yet at least.

I'd conjecture he has no intention of reaching that level either. I'm not a fan of his.

Same tired old Prodigy flow to my ears, but these beats are so fucking good it doesn't matter. I just listened earlier today for the first time so I don't have any quotes, but there was a lot corny, self :copy: lines from Prodigy IMO. I really didn't care though, my only negative thought was, I wonder what (dope mc x) would do on this beat?

Prodigy's voice always makes him listenable, and over this type of production with a Roc Marci feature thrown it, it works, but it's not a return to form.

Frauds alright. Only know him really from the work he does with Bronson and Meyhem. Prefer Tommy Mas to Fraud though. And prefer Alchemist to nearly anyone at this moment.

Disappointed in this album surprisingly. Got in the mail Wednesday, given it several spins. Underwhelmed by the beats of all things. They are far from bad and there certainly is some heat, but on the whole kind of run of the mill, not really feeling the samples or arrangements. "Breeze," is fuckin amazing though. Raps are basic, as could be predicted, but I like Prodigy's mellow voice and flow. But yeah, expected more from the beats. Covert Coup, the Domo Genesis album, and Durag Dynasty albums all were better produced.

I think those beats made Prodigy more hungrier than I've heard before. I mean, hearing ALC use some of those weird ass piano samples like he did was dope.

Can't wait to hear this as I have had it unzipped on my desktop for a couple of days. My only wish is that the P verses are better than his on the joint with Action and Rae. That shit was atrocious.

This album is crazy. Every time I go to listen to just a song or two I end up playing the whole thing.

Fraud has been boring as shit for a while now, Bird on a Wire was his huge moment. That shit on Bronson's new album was zzzz. Alc is still fucking nice, and I think hip hop is a fucking shit ass genre nowadays.

(almost) easily my most favoritist shit of the year

beats are a little underwhelming by alchemist's lofty 2012 standards, but...

prodigy hasn't sounded this dope since the first HNIC

Dope album. Top notch production by the Alchemist. Love his use of samples, especially on "Breeze". Prodigy get's out shined lyrically by all the guest, but it doesn't matter. It's still the best lyrically he's sounded in awhile.
