If your not familiar with Eyedea, or any of his previous accomplishments.
Eyedea in 1981 is a well-known freestyle battle champion and underground rapper. His notable wins include the televised Blaze Battle sponsored by HBO (2000) and a victory at Scribble Jam (1999). He has appeared as a solo artist, and as the emcee half of the duo Eyedea & Abilities (along with longtime friend and collaborator DJ Abilities). His non-battle rhymes are generally philosophically or thematically based, and often tell a definite narrative. His song "Bottle Dreams" is a well known piece[citation needed] about a sexually abused violin prodigy who commits suicide.

I don't know, but the only reason I haven't locked it yet, is that I feel it's an untapped goldmine of LOLs.

dude has a decent fanbase, kills freestyles, hasn't really shown his face in the hiphop world for awhile now due to his rock projects. Thought there may be some interest.

That was one of the worst albums I ever heard. Seriously. That song about the fish and the bowl was hilariously awful. The ILLatino wrote:I bought FIRST BORN on the strength of the battle shit and seeing Abilities kill shit live.

i've heard this before as wellPhilaflava wrote:Wasn't the rumor Puffy offered him a milli after the Blaze battle and he turned it down?
the reason his live show was good was because of Abilities who's an underrated dj and knew how to put on a good set
eyedea on albums sounds like the guy at the party who tries to get bitches by bragging about all the Kierkegaard he had to read for his philosophy minor

i've seen him kill it live a few times now, they are enjoyable shows if you can catch one. Most recently I saw him with Homeboy Sandman, Deep from 2 hungry brother's, 8thw1, Picasso, and Educated Consumers.
All sets really rocked it.

Eyedea is one of the best rappers that shoulda blown up way bigger... like close to Eminem levels.
and yeah, word was Diddy was approaching him after he won the Blaze Battle
p.s. thread-lockers are whiny bitches. it's not like there a flood of board spammers and repeated, irrelevant topics. when's the last time we discussed Eyedea here?
some of you disgust me with your power tripping
Eyedea is dope and needs to start dropping rap albums again... I didn't mind First Born, but it was quite different than what everyone expected, yes
You're in Heaven right now, God.
