very average beat for Premo. Very. Not a good look if some catz are sayin it's his best in years. I would feel insulted. and Luda's rap goes over my head.Mansfield Status wrote:wow that beat is CRAZY

this is only almost 'good' actually...
The thing about Premier that fans of him will never ever admit. He makes a fair amount of no so great beats. You can make a couple albums worth of stuff he's done for underground artists and even known artists that are not so great. It's like if you don't like Premier and think ehrything he does is golden something's wrong with you...

true say... although a fair amount of these "not so great beats" to my ears are ones that other people will say are among his best...never thought 'Above The Clouds' or 'Mass Appeal' were all that, comparatively speaking...but never garbage.Conscious wrote:this is only almost 'good' actually...

"i spit so much heat the engineer gets a sun tan"
"takin shots like Kennedy"
man, I love the idea of "Theater of the Mind"... but some of these Simple Jack lyrics are NOT going to make it the classic Luda says it is.
This is a decent Primo beat, but it's not 'Unbelievable' level, and Primo hasn't been making CLASSICS for YEARS. Not to take away from him, but he's just NOT near his peak, and anyone honest with themselves should admit it.
Comparing this to most of 'Hard to Earn' or 'Daily Operation' or 'Sun Rises in the East'... this beat is super MEH.
but there's much worse rap out there, and at least Luda and Primo made something somewhat decent. Just don't lie to yourself and pretend this is on the level of 'Nas is Like'
