Kid Cudi mixtape(s)... Anybody got links???

Post by Remo the Great »

So... I have seen these blog and vlog references, soundbites, videoclips, and assorted testomonials on A Kid Called Cudi... But I have yet to hear a single studio song other than "Day & Night" or the few tracks on his myspace.

I'm interested in trying to figure out what cats see in this guy and heard that he has some mixtapes out that helped his buzz grow. Anybody got a hookup on some material?

Do you have an original of Day N Nite without Jim Jones?

I dont have a fast enough connect to upload it myself, but "A Kid Named CuDi" w/ Plain Pat & Emile is a simple google away and is pretty good. I was totally unfamiliar with the guy, and it made me a halfway fan atleast. The way it ends with his cover the of the Andre 3000 song and "A Million Ways to Make a Record" gives me serious hope for the potential future studio projects.

Thanks. Weird that this is the song that everybody likes from this dude yet the only thing you can find on the net are remixes.

yeah, i saw him a few months back, right before he got onto Kanye's album.

he's aiight, but he's not ILLLLL.

I swear Kanye is doing exactly what :jayz: did at Rocafella: signing people that are decent musicians, but ultimately not on his level.

almost done with this "A.K.C.C." mixtape...

dude is okay. i don't see why all the hype, but startin at track 6 there was like 4 or 5 back to back joints that were some good club music.

i like his material more where he mixes it up with the singing. the straight rap tracks were not as entertaining.

That half-singing half-rapping shit is gonna make him huge. If you don't recognize the pop crossover potential in this dude, you're an idiot. "Day N Nite" crept on to the radar without a lot of forced publicity. If he was just spitting verses, he would've disappeared a lot quicker. But "Day N Nite", "Embrace the Martian", "50 Ways to Make a Record", even "Maui Wowy", are songs that can appeal to a lot more people than anything the other blog rappers are dropping right now.

This is probably because no one here watches Entourage, but at the start of the new season they played it and since then EVERYONE I know who watches the show asks who sings that song.

Yup, despite knowing Kid Cudi's name a couple months before that aired, that was when I first heard "Day N Nite", and it made me check for more of his shit.
