Shot and killed last night in BR. Not the most suprising thing in the world, but it is shitty. The Champ Iz Here was one of my favorite albums last year. Its one of the most unapologetically violent/ignorant/amazing pieces of rap musics ever.

Its highly likely that I am will be the only person here who gives a shit, but Nussie was the fuckin man. King Sneak Attack RIP.

R.I.P., I suppose.

After you put him on your top ten list I went online trying to find more info the guy, a place I could potentially cop his album, etc. Came up short on all fronts. Was The Champ Iz Here an internet-only type of thing?

Just a total lack of national distribution. I'll upload it here this afternoon.

All I could find on it:

ocal rapper Chris Lynell Jackson, known professionally as Nussie, was shot and killed Monday night in a house on America Street, relatives said at the crime scene.

Police spokesman Capt. Carl Kelley said that officers responding to a report of a shooting found a man shot and injured in the 2300 block of North Boulevard around 11:24 p.m.

That man told them that another man had been shot in a house nearby, Kelley said.

Officers responded and found a deceased man with a gunshot wound in a house at 2317 America St., between Evergreen Drive and Delphine Street.

Kelley declined to release the identity of the deceased, but Jackson's sister Ashley Richardson said her brother was the man inside the house.

Over 50 people crowded around the crime scene tape into the early morning hours. Detectives were waiting to have a search warrant drawn up and signed before they went back into the house, Kelley said.

Richardson said her brother had been rapping for at least four years and had garnered quite a following in Baton Rouge. He would also regularly play shows in Thibodaux, Plaquemine and White Castle, she said.

Nussie's last album, "The Champ is Here" came out last April on Dope Celebrity Records.

Its a shame that white blogs never got up on Nussie. They currently jock similar artists like Pat, OJ, Boosie, Guccie etc. but never got around to Mr. Reallybedoingthemthangs like they should have. I bet they do now....

Relax, I first made the "Died, Yo!" joke about Jay Dee. I had absolutely nothing to do with the Jay Dee fetishist movement aside from writing for the same site.

Either the FBI listen to rap rumors, or rap rumors have merit...

May 18, 2009. Youג€™ll recall that a few months ago MediaTakeOut.com told you that a local Louisiana rapper named Nussie (real name Chris Lynell Jackson) was shot and killed in what appeared to be a random act of street violence.

Well the FBI is now claiming that Nussieג€™s murder was more than just that. According to the feds, rapper Young Boosie ordered his murder.

MediaTakeOut.com learned that a federal agent named Antony Jung testified under oath that rapper Torrence ג€œLil Boosieג€™ג€™ Hatch put a $30,000 bounty on Jacksonג€™s head. And that Lil Boosieג€™s bounty may have been the cause of Nussieג€™s death.

And apparently Lil Boosie isnג€™t the only one in hot water. Melvin Vernell Jr and Marcus Roach, both managers of Trill Entertainment, were arrested last week for allegedly trying to kill rapper Bruce ג€œBeelowג€™ג€™ Moore in 2005. Both men are being held without bond since their arrest May 8.

Well, your use of "forcibly" pretty much makes the first scenario highly unlikely, am I right?!

Unless we're factoring in how roughly you like black men to treat you.
