Ha, I actually won the battle at the Yule Prog show, but the highlight of the night for me probably was Masai's set. Really a must-see live cat. He combines the energy of an arena rock show with the presence of a small intimate performance. Very dope.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I really think Masai should release a live album if he hasn't already. Really dope performer.

Just a few songs, I think Masai actually left Def Jux to do his own thing, I'm not sure maybe El-P could shed some light.

I believe I have actually. I just know this isn't a forum where people really dig battles so I don't post them. Otherwise, I haven't had anything really "free download"-esqe to promote yet so I've just enjoyed talking on the forum and talking about my rappenings when it's relevant. Glad you enjoyed the battles.

Most of his shit has come out on Uncommon Music. He has a new album on it's way that I heard a couple tracks off of, seriously impressive. His guest spot on "Wheel Of Fortune" off of Cape Verde is serious too.

One of the best live acts of any genre that I have ever seen.

Most definitely a fan, his music is tight. He needs to release CD's for the project with BMS and his last solo project.

I don't have the 12" with Nonstop and The Beginning on it, but I do have the single somewhere.

There are some other single tracks on the Uncommon compilations too.

I heard some of the new stuff he has coming and it is incredible. Him, BMS and Zesto were also supposed to be working on some things so if any of that comes out, it would be serious.

All his Uncommon stuff is good too.

Uncommon Records is proud to present, "Collector's Bey", an album that collects classic tracks, rareities and live audio from the extensive career of Masai Bey. It was compiled by Masai himself, along with some help from Uncommon Records founder Nasa.
