See, this is usually the point in the thread where IDAL would drop by and deliver a wordy diatribe about "farm hop faggots."

Nostalgia.

Nostalgia.
F'real. Mawfukka would regularly excoriate Kno and all CL affiliates in truly hilarious fashion.

If by witty you mean good for one listen and no purchase, then yes, its very witty.

don't know but never a good sign when said groups fans use words like "witty" as adjectives to describe dey greatness

my favorite song of theirs, and one of the five or six songs i was ever able to get into out of their entire catalog:

I haven't been able to to listen to anything post-Will Rap For Food more than once all the way through. Piece of Strange was forgettable and Dirty Acres was over hyped journalistically. I read somewhere once that it was supposed to be the greatest album from the south since ATLiens. I got depressed when I tried hearing it for the first time.

Piece of Strange was not that bad, it definitely had some of those excellent beats blastmaster mentioned.

the beat is nice, but i dont smoke so the lyrical content doesnt catch me like that. im sure the weedheads will love it even if its just for the novelty of it, but whatever. i am a CL fan, but the song is not for me. I am looking forward to Strange Journey though.

Looking forward to the new album(s)... all the albums so far have been very good. Dirty Acres is one of my favorites from the last few years...

Damn... cats forgot all about Southernunderground. I feel that was their most entertaining release, personally. SOS was good for the group stylistically. I was sad when he got the boot.

I do however think Piece of Strange over all is their best release from beats, to lyrics, to album concept.

Dirty Acres was dope, but didnt hit my ears the same way.

did not like dirty acres. they tryin too hard at the cee-lo/dungeon fam/outkast outskirts style on that last lp.

it was dark and slow and not soulful enough to make up for it

sorry for the criticism but i really loved piece of strange except for 'fire' and one or two others so i was let down. and i'm not some e-fag who dls everything then blasts them for their efforts. i buy and support. kno is on some next shit sometimes.

but yea the rapping never grabs me as much as i want it too...when i know all the elements are there to move me, yet it doesn't, i know the rapping could be better

i'll still check for the next release...

for their careers. I mean Nappy Roots wasn't gonna help them out any. So far these cats are 2 for 2 on their forthcoming album Strange Journey Volume One. That said I wish Kno would drop this shit here when he leaks it.
