I really like both MC's. They should not win this tourney, but I think it's justified they won their matchups.

Crooked has the better flow and lyrically Crooked and Budden are close to eachother. Personally, I think Buddens has the better tracks though.

Went with Joe Budden.

But isn't that what Buddens does? Like all the time. He takes a rather obscure or fresh sports reference and throws it in the mix. It's almost his signature style like Erick Sermon is name droppin "like."

That's not all he does, but he definitely is a sports referencing type of MC. His punchlines usually revolve around sports or current events.

That's one of the ones that came to mind. He stays watching the news and goes into the studio immediately that night to drop a freestyle and capitalize on whatever just happened that would get a laugh.

Bun B is similar in that extent but not nearly as obsessed with this as Joe is.

And I believe he dropped a Corey Lidle line twice, right? That Wings freestyle was the first.

Yeah, but it's not like he just says random lines to get a buzz like Chino XL or Eminem, he actually makes it into a clever punch line. Like that Jeter/A-Rod metaphor to him and Jay-Z, is still the best one I've ever heard, I think, in terms of sports references.

Budden has to be one of internet's favorite rappers, at least he was during the last 4 years, but he failed to impress me with almost anything. I think most of Budden's current news/sport related punchlines probably won't make sense to kids ten years from now, he's using it too much, name dropping to such extent is corny as Budden in general is. I'm voting for Crooked even though I heard less from him and I'm still not really a fan, but he seems to be more focused on just killing tracks instead of trying to hard with pretentious writing, plus Budden sounds more annoying and flows wacker.

I was actually say "Definitely significant". They matter. They aren't T.I or Lil Wayne, but they also ain't fucking Jamal or Apache. But let's say what you're saying is true, that doesn't make them inferior rappers.

Jamal >>> these schmucks

At least he's recorded something that has greater staying power than 2 weeks.
