so i downloaded both of dude's live from gary, indiana tapes and I'm now a HUGE freddie gibbs fan. he's jumped up to my top 10, maybe even 5 most anticipated mc's. just about every track i've heard from this cat has been fucking mind-boggling.
rap is outta control.

and: he's better than Gucci Mane to me. Sure, Gucci is the guy you want to hang out with while he's curb servin and shit... but his raps are mega-meh. Stop lying to yourself. He's Young Jeezy part 2, without the yeeeeaaaaahhh ad-libs and you know it. He's not going to carry a coast on his shoulders...

this guy's voice and flows are his best attributes. needs to come with some more fresh concepts and angles of his street vision. thanks for putting me on.

not really. even though i probably know more American geography than 99.13 % Americans know Canadian geography, I don't know how far Indiana is from New Orleans and Houston. I still consider it in the general Southern region of rap. These borders are not exactly defined though.

Still, am I off to call Gucci Mane's rap style Southern?
