Been listening to Gibbs like crazy.

Once in a while, with the rapid fire shit, he sounds kinda like Tech N9ne. And, strangely, at others, I can hear similarities to Murs, mostly in voice.

Loving this shit though.

Something about this guy is very tupac-esque. Funny that everyone is saying who he reminds them of, yet no one seems to feel like he is biting or a retread.

I just wrote a brief article comparing Gibbs to Big L after hearing that new Buckwild produced track "The Wrong One."

While he's not punchline heavy like L, listening to the song "Lifestyles ov da poor and dangerous" and then "The Wrong One," I feel like you can gather the similarities.

He also reminds me of young Mobb Deep. that straight nihilistic, "we're from the most fucked up place on the planet" mentality in his lyrics.

Gibbs is living proof the industry/major labels have completely lost a grip on hip hop marketability.

they still know how to fuck with safe shit like Drake.

but they fucked the dog on dropping Gibbs from Interscope.

of course maybe they didn't and this dude dropping mixtapes was his only chance.
