I will be copping this. Torae is sick with it. His grind gears precise and always moving.

It might take a couple listens but I think it's a pretty great record.

Dope album, I have been a fan of Marco's beats for a while and Torae just goes for broke on this, solid album.

Definately likin what I'm hearing. "Get It" is dope as fuck. I think its one of the best Torae tracks I've ever heard. His intensity combined with the beat is phenomenal. Out of everything I've heard so far, that got my attention the most. "Crashing Down" was a nice change of pace. I could imagine that being replayed by a live band on the road. (I know it won't but that's the type of organic vibe it gives me)

surprised this thread is longer. One first listen I think this is really good. I'll see how it lasts, but it has the benefit of being extremely well produced end-to-end which is generally a requirement for me to revisit an album. It also has the benefit of being very cohesive. Only question is will it run together and lack depth, but I'll hold off those assumptions until I've had more time to digest. I don't really buy albums anymore, but I'll definitely pick this up.

I bought this last night - didn't realize it was actually out already!?!?

Listened to it in the car this morning, and on first listen I'm a little underwhelmed. It's definitely good, but after a few tracks it got a bit repetitive and tracks started to mash together. Still, I'm hoping that's just because I was almost asleep at the wheel after being awake most of the night due to a crying baby. Get the feeling that with a few more listens, this will become one of my favorite albums this year...

MP and Tor will be on Premier's show on Sirius tonight, Paul Rosenberg's show on Hot 97 sunday, and Tony Touch's show on Shade 45 Tuesday night...

The album got an XL in XXL, and they're a Myspace featured artist today...

The album "shouldn't" be available til tuesday, but I know you can buy it at fat beats.

Maybe my favourite release of the year thus far. Really digging "Double Barrel". Marco Polo really brought the heat.

Listened to this from start to end yesterday w/out skipping any joints. This album is heat. Marco Polo's been so consistent thus far. These dope producer/dope MC collabo albums need to drop more often.

Is it just me or does Torae sound a bit like Blaq Poet?

I CO-SIGN THIS ALSO. I WANTED TO LOVE THIS ALBUM, BECAUSE I'M ALL ABOUT THE BOOM BAP, BUT CERTAIN TRACKS FELT LIKE ONE LONG ASS SONG.

This shit sounds dope but I can't stop playing the Tanya Morgan album so I'll have to come back to it.

 this is a lot doper than the Tanya Morgan. "Danger", "Coney Island" and "Get It" are the shit.

I'M WITH U FOLK. THAT ALBUM BY TANYA MORGAN IS BANANAS.

"BROOKLYNATI" > "DOUBLE BARREL"

"BROOKLYNATI" IS THE ALBUM OF THE YEAR SO FAR.

"DOUBLE BARREL" IS KIND OF DISAPPOINTING.

Yeah I can't even get into that Tanya Morgan shit. I tried, but no.

I don't think the Double Barrel album is album of the year or anything (not sure I have a real solid candidate for that "honor" though), but it is really good. The beats alone put it in another world from that Tanya Morgan stuff, and Torae has a better energy on the mic, even if though I agree that some songs run together topically.
