his first album was better.

this is just when Timbaland started resting on his laurels.

"Sexy Back"? :fail:

Great call but Storch might have something to say about that. Rap wise I think Below The Heavens gets a nod.

The production on HHNF > Lord Willin to me.

Dangermouse should get some props for what he did with the Grey Album, especially considering the time he took to put it together. I don't even like Dangermouse like that either.

Never thought about Game Theory qualifying for this discussion for some reason.

It wins by a lot though. Top 5 album of the decade in general too.

if you like Danger Mouse for one thing it better not be the grey album. most overrated garbage. me and mouse got off on the wrong foot. it took danger doom and Gorillaz to even check for him again and Gnarls Barkley to respect him.

the production is indeed better on HHNF but is is not a better album.

And the grey album is terrible.

thats not single producer. Just Blaze did "touch the sky". and then I would say theres Jon Brion but I guess you could say him and Ye were one entity on there. but I feel you

the only thing worth checking is the guitar gently weeps mash up. its a great idea but once you get down to it there isnt really much to it. its more successful for what it did with his name than the actual quality of the project.

Did RJ produce all of this?

I thought this was a pretty well put together record...didnt love every song but felt it worked damn well as whole album. One of Murs' strongest efforts too.

I feel you on the comparison of what it did for his career vs. the quality of the release but still I think there are some GREAT beats on there...beats that even if they werent heard in context of "samples from the white album specifically for this project" people would be talking about them.

For the most part...yes. But that album is short and just seems to work well.

like water for chocolate isn't a single producer either, i believe it's shared between questlove and dilla.

have to agree with most of what's been put in this thread though. some damn good albums.

Definitely not, cuz the only song I remember from that album (think it's called "Just Biz") was produced by Prefuse 73. Love that beat.

looks like i'm mistaken.

prefuse did 2 tracks and an interlude, RJ did the rest.

No. At least four different producers contributed to that mediocre album.
