There's nothing groundbreaking about his beats but they're very atmospheric. I made a folder with some of the best ones. Mainly those that did not appear on his solo, wu meets indie or wisemen albums. There are some omissions, but this is a good listen.

Props comedy. I always felt he was rated fine. Just tru master and deck should have done more since rza was on fire back in the day.

Bronze Nazareth is that dude. His horns, strings, and vocal samples are on some other shit. He's definitley on of the best producers at the moment, and a good MC to boot. Both 'The Great Migration' and 'Wisemen Apporoaching' are two of my favorite albums of the decade, and modern day classics imo. Bangers extraordinaire. 'Wu-Tang Meets the Indie Culture' and 'Original S.I.N.' are pretty damn good too.

"The Bronzeman" and "Iconoclasts" are two of my favorite beats from him, off the top. But he's got beats for days.

I thought "Good Morning" off his album was pretty phenomenal, too.
Though he really didn't do much with the sample except loop like 16
bars, it works great as a song.

To me, Bronze is an excellent lyricists. Perhaps one of my favorites. His imagery and use of words and metaphors is stunning and mindblowing to me. His flow is entirely unremarkable though.

Excellent post. I'm actually working on a Bronze Nazereth mix right now, some production stuff mixed with some Thought For Food freestyles. The "What We Do" freestyle is a great example of his lyrical style, kind of a choppy flow but there's a lot of good shit buried in there:

Weird... a song called "Sodom and Gamorrah" from School for Blindmen came on my shuffle about an hour ago and I got to thinking how much the album's poor mastering ruined it and if/when dude would be back.

His beats are ill as fuck. Agree with them being atmospheric. He's a solid MC too.

"Slugs Thru Ya Papaya," and "More Than Gold," are two that come to mind. The whole Great Migration album knocks like a motherfucker and is a personal classic.

Didn't know he produced, "Deep Space," always thought that was a RZA beat for some reason. Have to check the inlay when I get home if I can find the case.

It's a classic album and one of my 50 favorite albums ever. Might even go higher than that. Production is phenomenal and I like Bronze's rapping too.

The Pain is one of the greatest songs by any (non-General) Wu-Tang affiliate ever. Same goes for the album, to say the least.

What an amazing start to an album ... the fact that the album doesn't just totally fall off after that is a feat unto itself. That it again reaches, and arguably tops, that high is ... ridiculous.

I remember finding out about Bronze through Sinuhe's Impasse back when I was in college. This was a couple years before the album came out, and he produced a few amazing tracks on Birth of a Prince and Wu-Tang Meets Indie Culture in the meantime, that had me getting more and more hyped for the album and then when it finally dropped, I was completely floored by it. Such a solid representation, not just of the Wu sound and its possibilities, but of one the most gifted MC/producers of the past few decades.

People forget he was an MC first.

Yup. Bronze's verse before his is also flames. You can hear the passion in his voice and delivery. His lyrics are abstract without being completely mystifying. On top of that, "The Bronzeman," has to be one of the most aggressive jarring beats ever. Easily one of my favorite songs, can't say that about too many tracks once you've been listening to hip hop for 20+ years.

Every project he has ever produced I ended up liking. School For The Blindman wasn't as good, but certainly a very good sophomore album. Wu-Tang Meets the Indie Culture is another personal classic as is Wisemen Approaching. Only album I thought was close to average was the one he put out last year with Dom Pachino, War Poetry.
