what happened to lord jamar? he seems extremely fucked up.

if the beats are on point, this could be a very solid album

After his last few shitty albums, why should this be good?

Unless he pulls an OBFCL2, I guess.

I thought that everything since "Experience & Education" or whatever it was called has been poor.

Thought Black October was a noticeable step down but still relatively solid and Generation X was pretty dope, actually.

I refuse to believe that throwing a "II" after a title from 15 years ago will make this any different from the music he's released in the last 5 years.

Dude's sleeping heavy. I agree everything after Experience & Education has
been downhill but everything I've heard off this so far has been up to par.
And it's not unbelievable that he could deliver quality nowadays since he
did with that Experience blah blah album.

Ok, but I refuse to believe that out of all the horseshit that gets actively promoted on this forum, a latter day Sadat X album deserves endless derision before it's even released. There have been upwards of 10 Okwerdz appreciation threads begun in earnest here, remember.

Okwerdz is more relevant at this point than Sadat X.

That's not saying much, but it's true.

This album shits on a lot of stuff. I don't care what anyone says.

Absolutely. Definitely should be mentioned as a top album of the 2000 era.

Some of the Sadat X recent efforts were pretty damn good. "Wild Cowboys" wasn't really anything spectacular the first time around though IMO. Back then, his work with Brand Nubian and guest spots definitely >> that solo album. I did like "The State of New York vs. Derick Murphy" or whatever that EP was quite a bit.

Here's a quick edit of this cut minus the Vast Air verse:
13. Sadat X - Bargain With The Devil (NO VAST EDIT)

EDIT: We should probably get a "homemade edits" thread together.
People have mentioned some interesting ones here and I have a few
decent ones that I could add on...

those beats playing in the background are cook, coke, crack, i hope thats the type of soundscapes on this new wild cowboys album, because sadat has a unique flow and has those bars, he can spray, his first wild cowboys album was a classic, yes it was, this album will get copped asap

I hate to say it...but it might be time for Sadat-X to hang up the mic...Wild Cowboys II wasn't very good, maybe I expected to much?...I don't know, it's not Sadat's worse solo album though.
