Nocando - Two Track Mind (feat. Busdriver)

Post by intuition »

This song is one of my favorite songs off the homey's new record. Hook that will not leave your head, and even if you're not normally a fan of busdriver i think you might just feel this one.

^^^ kinda / sorta... official label release date is Feb 9th (when they drop it on all the major online distributors).

i had announced a release date before signing to the label...they couldn't put it out the same day as Nocan's cuz it's his imprint, hence the Feb 9th release on itunes and such. so i put out my physical cds out today since that's when i announced it. but the shit has kind of been a disaster. the cd replication company fucked my order up and sent me cds with a black tray so the record looked like a damn Ace of Bass record from the early 90's or some shit, so now i won't get the correct version of the record (with a clear tray) back until the day of my release party on the 3rd. that really sucks because my hand to hand game (no homo?) is pretty good and i probably would've gotten off a hundred this week at various shows and shit, but i don't want to sell these ones with the black tray as they look horribly amateurish.

now i'm feeling like it was kind of a dumb idea on my part to make the physical copies available today and i should've just manned up and told everyone the album was pushed back two weeks. but such is life.

edit: here is a link for the physicals if anyone still likes to collect cds, but they are already on backorder and i won't be able to re-up until i get the next batch of cds lol...kind of a disaster.

usually they offer to sell the 'screw-ups' to you at a discount.

this shit happens all too often and people usually end up buying the 'screw-ups' since they give it to you for like 60% of the original price.

STRANGELY COINCIDENTAL.

This track is horrible.

NoCan is easily one of the dopest emcees in Cali and he bodied All I Got, but this track is terrible. Beat is trash and Busdriver is a faggot.

"I'm a nice guy, but I got a dark side that I gotta keep suppressed like the natives in apartheid!"

Oh My God!

And for the record, NoCan cockslapped Dan in that battle.

Haven't gotten around to listening to his album, but if it's anything like Two Track Mind then I won't be buying or wasting my hard drive space.

Peace.

I am fucking bumping this because there's a 7 page thread about fucking Drake and this album is one of the best things I've heard all year and it only has one this thread dedicated to it.

It's on itunes for 10 bucks. Go buy it fucking instantly.

This is the track Qualms hates.

The chorus and beat are a bit something, but I happen to like them. Nocan spits so hard on this that I can ignore all the other stuff.

the singing is a little difficult to stomach, but the rap portions and "you got some nerve" break downs are all dope.

this is sometimes skippable for me... "21" makes up for any of the softbatch shit on JTL. I wish I went to bars that would play this song, I'd expect to see a fight or two.

that song is all real life events too  .

best part about when jimmy makes drinking songs is me and the homies being able to go "oh wait, we were there too, i remember that shit!"

no one can front and say that's not a terrible beat.

nocan spits hard yes, but his delivery is so off-kilter it makes it come off like he's reading off a page for the first take and kept it. but like i said, most everything else is money for sure.
