Philaflava Posse Cut '10 (prod. Blockhead)

Post by Philaflava »

No, sorry for the trickery this isn't done yet. We were planning on doing this and having it out by January but it didn't happen for many reasons. Without getting into those reasons I want to state I am very much committed in making sure this does happen and hopefully within the next 6-8 weeks.

The beat has already been chosen and it's by Blockhead. A few of you who we reached out to loved the beat and a few were concerned with the BPM. In any event this is what we're going with.

I hope now that enough time has passed everyone that could not originally make it can now be aboard.

Alaska and myself will be selecting who actually makes the cut. It's nothing personal but we don't want this to be a 12 minutes posse cut. Ideally, 7-8 emcees spitting 16 a piece would be nice.

As of now Godamus Rhyme and Selfsays are on the track being I already have their verses. If either of you would like to redo your verses you can, but both of these are dope and will make the cut.

Listen to the beat:
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/sh ... on=8,0,0,0" width="335" height="28" id="divplaylist"><param name="movie" value="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist? ... 092865-73e" /><embed src="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist? ... 092865-73e" width="335" height="28" name="divplaylist" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashpl ... d></object>

Download Beat: http://www.divshare.com/download/11092865-73e

SelfSays verse (so you know how to bring it)
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/sh ... on=8,0,0,0" width="335" height="28" id="divplaylist"><param name="movie" value="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist? ... 092826-8cd" /><embed src="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist? ... 092826-8cd" width="335" height="28" name="divplaylist" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashpl ... d></object>

Please send your verse to Philaflava@gmail.com

You do not have to send your accapella yet. We just want to hear the verse before we proceed.

jesus, self ripped it. Kind of want to hear him make it into an entire song.

He sounds so much like Breezly but his writing style is way different. Strange.

A far cry from the Sneed-produced atrocity of a beat from yesteryear.

I'd like the verses by May 9th so everyone has more than enough time to write. We probably won't finish the track until the end of May though.

He is.

This is open to everyone, but some rappers (Tui) don't feel comfortable on here because of the beat. I understand that, but I wish he'd adjust because he'd really compliment the track.
