Dude, when you say you're listening to Hellfyre Club, it's pretty damn reasonable to assume you'd be listening to the only collective album they've put out. Especially considering it would be kinda odd for a scholar of creative hip-hop such as yourself to to be discovering Busdriver in 2013.

So far through one very tired and smokey half listen I'm not sure I love it, but stuff always grows on me. It's an interesting, a bit more conventional counterbalance to the Tits and Explosion joint he dropped a while back.

Album has grown on me as expected. I could really do without the skits and I think the hidden track should have died as a concept before it started (but the actual song is great).

I'm always confused by the somewhat equal frequency with which Nocan invokes his wife and random groupie sex (in part because just from interviews/social media he seems pretty much like a family dude). Not like I'm judging him personally, but it's a weird thematic inconsistency throughout the album (or, and maybe likely, I'm missing something).
