Weird pictures of rappers like the plethora of faggy Louis Logic pictures works just as well.

I never said that. but musical talent has nothing to do with taking half naked pictures.
i havent even heard a Sandman song yet.

and btw its not like Grover Washington Jr was ever an undoubted colossus. he got lambasted alot because his style was a very pop-ish apporach to Jazz and Funk.

this album is really good. whether you approve of his style or substance or not, his skills as a lyricist and mc are undeniable, imho.

Ok so I actually listened to this album and its really good. Dun has styles for days and his songs are both technically impressive and fun. Lyrics range from eccentric to observant. He handles topical songs with a competency nearly unheard of these days; you'd swear that he spent a decade studying Aceyalone's mistakes and vowed to do the exact opposite. Disregard my prior idiocy and peep this album. This is pretty much the album Mos Def should have released circa 2001.

Wow. I've don't think I've ever seen you do such an enthusiastic 180. You're getting soft, old man. Ha ha.

I still haven't heard this, and will admit the cover wasn't exactly inviting me to give it a shot. I may just have to.

Thun wrote:I read an interview with this guy and he's a sanctimonious idiot. How the fuck are you going to talk about artistic integrity and stress the primacy of lyrical excellence when you come up with a song like "lightening bolt"? It's one thing to dumb down and sell out and get paid - it's another thing to be broke as fuck and virtually unknown and have your own wack gimmick backfire on you. I cannot take this guy seriously.
AGREED.. good video though.. not feeling the song really. hook is on some lil b-boy shit..

Listen to it, faggot, it's better than whatever latter-day dun rap Seagraves commissioned you to review circa 2000.
