Is Black Thought a top 10 MC of all time?

BT lacks the charisma many people want in a top 10 emcee, but he doesn't lack the catalog at this point. Redman is the exact opposite. Has charisma for days but a catalog that has been simply forgettable for the pats 12 years and shows no signs of changing that.

oops. forgot to add that in my opinion black thought is now in the top ten.

I'd say he's top ten in some categories, he's got tons of work out there and not to much of it, if any is flat out horrible. That right there is huge. but probably wouldn't crack my top 20 as a whole, I mean using J's point which is super on point, I don't think Ive ever been as wowed by BT at any point as I was multiple times by Redman. That's really all I can base these kind of lists on.

I would say "yes" on the issue....but this is just a preference thing.

I'd also include Nas, Kool G Rap, Andre Benjamin, KRS, Ghost, Rakim, Chuck D, Biggie and Pharoahe Monch (although I wish he had a better catalogue).

Admittedly, I got into hip-hop in the mid nineties, so a lot of my KRS, Rakim, and some Kool G Rap was retrospective listening....
