A very basic/cliched interview with Ethereal, but I always like to see/get background info on artists:

Regardless of how you feel about dude's music (I haven't listened yet), you gotta respect his hustle. 23 songs, full booklet art and 4 videos in that file.

Regardless of how bad Butterfly acted out, this is a great album.

Yeah, album is very good. In the top 2 or 3 of this year for me, regardless of dudes hissyfit. I should probably buy it in some form.

Ishmael ג€œButterflyג€ ג€œPalaceer Lazaroג€ Butler has lately been busy with Shabazz Palaces, his much-loved Seattle avant-rap crew. But Butler first came to our attention as one third of the early-ג€™90s boho-rap trio Digable Planets, the group responsible for the kitschy but undeniably awesome near-masterpiece that you see above. The Planets only have two albums to their credit, 1993′s Reachinג€™ (A New Refutation of Time and Space) and 1994′s Blowout Comb, and both of them are better than you likely remember. But theyג€™ve stayed intermittently active over the years, getting back together for shows here and there. And now HipHopDX reports that they plan to reassemble for a new album and a tour in 2012. Hopefully, they will once again be to rap what key be to lock.
:larry: at kitschy.

  I ripped that quote from Stereogum, but yea DX is horrible.

I would love for this to happen. Supposedly, these rumors are not true.

Talking about the cover art of Rebirth of Slick...
That's not entirely untrue, even by today's standards.

People should be talking about this more:
