I'm looking forward to this album that's coming out in November on Soulspazm

JR & PH7- The Update ft. Evidence, Sean Price, Elzhi, Oddisee, Edo G, Torae, Shawn Jackson, and more.

Their debut, The Standard, was solid.

I got the new Shawn Jackson
"Brand New Old Me"

I honestly prefer his first album, strictly for the beats. His new album has only one straightfoward beat. The rest are psuedo Dilla wannabees. I means..they bang but...left field bangers never get my head knoddin.

Celph is one of my guilty pleasures, but judging by the leaks so far he is going IN and constructing an actual album (rather than the mix tape sounding stuff he has done in the past). Buckwild beats have been hard as fuck.

^From what I've read, yes. The concept behind the album is Buckwild dug up a bunch of unused beats he made during the 90s.

thats sounding niiiiice

looks like they're still on the gimmick of drums/breaks that have been used already tons of times.

i thought it was kind of biting last album but it grew on me.

so its been about a month (i think). This is KRS's best album in who knows how long. his main detriment of shitty beats is not a factor cause True Masta gives him some heat.

its classic BDP style shit for the old folks. i'm really enjoying this one.

New Madlib any good ?
Resolved Question
Does Biggie Smalls hate HipHop???

"Shoulda been a cop, Fukc Hiphop"

I've been wondering what he meant by this.
Additional Details
Rap sucks, HipHop is better

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters
Naw, he likes hip hop and rap. He was just referring to if he hadn't started rapping he would've been a cop.
So he's cursing it, not that he doesn't like it, just for the sake of it.

pretty underwhelming. timbos verse was on a real slow beat so it was good but not great.

beats are mostly really soft. lots of chimes and soul samples. really weak drums.

he sounds pretty much identical to killa priest circa heavy mental.
lyrically its on point but those beats just don't do it for me.
not the hell razah album i was expecting.

best 2 tracks are the ones already out. the RA one and the video one.

My thread for this one got locked for some reason. I really liked this except for maybe too many skits of KRS talking... But the music was good. It's not quite a DJ Muggs Vs. quality, but a good look. KRS should do some more albums with the same producer on every song. There has to be some other producers on Truemaster's level out there that would jump at the chance.
