Das Racist

Post by unclebengi »

Anybody know about these cats? They just dropped this mixtape and its pretty ill. A lil corny at times, but I like their beats and they can all rap. At the very least it's worth a dl for the guest spots from Despot, Roc Marcy, & El-P. The El-P song is siiiiiiiiick

They are kind of funny...but not I'm going to listen to your stupid shit for 19 tracks funny. Worth downloading for the Despot verse. This is pretty awesome though:

pretty much my thoughts. Dudes are sometimes really funny, sometimes borderline retarded and annoying. The shtick is good, but I can't take a full album of it.

Despot fucking destroys his verse, though.

"So on the money he's a founding father" is a pretty great line.
These guys are pretty entertaining. A lot of rap heads will hate them but I see the angle.

I like these guys, their Ghostface imitation track is hilarious. Can't handle it all the time, but definitely fun shit to listen to now and again.

So this is smug hipster post-rap queerdom with a few good beats and a verse by Despot? Where can I purchase thousands of copies?

This is probably good timing. Shouldn't Hammer and Vanilla Ice be officially hipster retro-cool now, since their rise to fame was in 1990?

I am not ashamed to say I played the hell out of Please Hammer Don't Hurt Em as a kid. And just about everyone on here can recite every line on "Ice Ice Baby" whether they want to admit it or not. Being a young naive faggot is a lot different than being an old, smug, east village smedium wearing faggot who enjoys this kind of music.

Because it allows us other faggots to vent, bait others and add up our post count. Besides some people like Despot.

DLG lives in another country.
Cable is a movie star now.
Blockhead doesn't count.

Anyone else?

That "guff" line made me laugh out loud. Despot is one of the best rappers currently practicing in these contiguous united states. When his album comes out 3rd quarter 2020, I will be first in line to buy it.

Das Racist has some skills but ultimately the music is pretty forgettable save those songs where the beats and the guests are fire. "Rooftop" being exhibit A (Dame Grease did the beat...owwww)

Actually it's safer if this highly hazardous hipster waste would be sent away far into outer space on a rocket.
