Well, I missed the show in L.A.... cest la vie.

Album drops in 4 weeks on Fake Four. Snippets on Amazon bitches:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004P7 ... =dm_sp_alb

I'm going beiber pop status on this joint

I'd be the first to admit i've released a lot of patchy albums over the years, but this one is pretty streamlined, musical and song oriented. The first thing that comes to mind is that its more human than a lot of my other stuff.

FIRST REVIEW TO SURFACE
http://fatedempire.com/ :::

Have you ever had those moments where you just stare at your mp3 player in frustration, unable to figure out exactly what music you want to listen to? The good news is that Guelph, Ontario native son Noah 23 has made the album for just these moments. I guarantee that for every possible moment in your life there is a song on this album that would be included in its soundtrack.

For avid followers of Noah 23, his diversity is probably something already known to you. Iג€™m a more recent convert to his following, so I had no idea, but afterward I went back and listened again to some recordings from the past. The difference I see is that where the past records seemed to each display one facet of Noah as an artist, Fry Cook On Venus attempts to show them all in an almost schizophrenic manner. Essentially, Noah 23 is the Daniel Johnston of the rap game, and that is why I will be suggesting this record to pretty much everyone I know.

This album opens up with the sing-song ג€œWhat It Isג€ which sees Noah displaying a tonal rap-style and a lyrically ambiguous chorus that would make Mike Patton and company proud. This song is a good opener because I feel like it offers a brief glimpse at the many styles contained on the record. The rest of the early tracks on this record include the pop sensible off-the-wall love song ג€œBright Green Lacesג€ as well as avant-gangster anthem ג€œMurder Cityג€ featuring Awol One and Sole rapping alongside Noah over brooding organs and synths.

The mid-section of the album starts with title track ג€œFry Cook On Venusג€ which includes a folk-esque hook amid a style that Noah 23 fans will be very familiar with and follows it up with ג€œSea of the Infinite Waveג€, which is my favorite track on the album. On the song Noah rips it in double-time alongside fellow Fake Four phenom Ceschi and West Coast O.G. Myka9. The hook is infectious and the verses are super-lyrical so the song really has something for everyone, no wonder itג€™s the single.

The recordג€™s closing section includes pseudo-reggaeton song ג€œNo Tomorrowג€, epic ballad ג€œTime Againג€, and then concludes with ג€œWhen Iג€™m Goneג€, a guide to eulogies and mourning featuring crooner Gregory Peppers. This last song makes the listener eager for more, and causes the mind to wonder which of the 14 directions Noah will continue with on his next project. My hope is that he does just what he does here and includes every aspect he can think of, perhaps introducing even more.

Fry Cook On Venus releases on March 29th through Fake Four Inc. You can pre-order the album and get a t-shirt with it for only $16.00 at Circle Into Square. https://www.circleintosquare.com/item/fry-cook-on-venus

Just rocked Europe, and it was a pretty dope tour. I got a picture of a truck with a huge logo reading "BORK". Touring Canada through May & June...

Here is a review of my new record by Employee:

In his heady heyday of "I Shot Andy Warhol" pall I was a fan of Noah and his rap ark. My interest waned. He rapped about physically assaulting me. Fast-forward to present day and Squire23 is at the forefront of what is an LSD-laden pop extravaganza slyly disguised as an old dubbed tape containing underground songs. Although I was expecting to thoroughly detest this defined assortment of bizarro Boom-Bap; such was not the case. In that regard I tip my hat to Noah23's feat of fresh and his capability to reinvigorate a whole career. The weakest link here, "Bright Green Laces", still packs oodles of potential to land play on the radio.

There's simply no ignoring the MONOLITH of a missive that is "Sea of the Infinite Wave." Staying neck-and-neck with Myka 9 at that degree of triple-time, trampoline earns you a sea of infinite respect. Ceschi's exhibition is not unnoticed. This unique threesome fucks up everyone and finds new life in the rap that is fast. For my money it is the album's core as it eclipses everything before it and after it without stealing the show. Mapping a tracklisting that way is a stroke of smart. An indicator that this grease-slangin' MC will be upwardly mobile and migrating from fry cook to four-star chef.

Liz from Land of Talk is magnificent next to deuce tre on the clandestine heartbreaker "Nuts" that makes you never want her voice to dissipate. For as many rappers who are guilty of about-faces in the new school era of rock head superstars and spilling mafia secrets wantonly, Noah deserves a high-five from your lofty rap perches. He rockets from his lane and scrawls haphazardly outside of the lines without pretending or morphing into Nelly Furtado with testicles and a grudge. Verdict: Buy or cry.

Fry Cook On Venus.

Peace,
Employee

its not a publicity stunt man. i've done everything i can do with this shit, travelled the world and performed live for 15 years. 40 projects released. its been fun but i cant do it for so little anymore. its not easy rapping to the beat of a dead horse.

i'll probably start making more beats though.

Yeah hes really talented, more proof that Guelph has crazily skilled people around.

I was lucky to get that beat cause I'm pretty sure he usually charges. Not sure if I can pull any strings, but I can talk to him.
