nah, he just comes level-headed with it. it's not some cheap ass mad rapper rant.
i like how he says how Jay should rhyme like Talib Kweli now. he's dead right.
Jay-Z could spit Fu-Schnicken speed pro-Illuminati Roc Nation Empire rap and it would go double platinum right now. Not only that, it would influence the game as it stands.
and most people don't even consciously know why 50 fell off, but dude articulated it pretty clearly. i always said 50 took himself out more than anyone else did.
but also, this song at least seems like dude thought about it for a while before he put it down, which is more than can be said for MOST new rap that comes out these days.
did you hear that new Kid Cudi song 'Dangerous'? oh my lord, we have fallen so far, my friends. LOL.
you know what i think about rap.

No. Why? Talib Kweli is a middle-brow hippie with no rhythm and nothing interesting to say and hes a really poor writer as well. Kweli is fucking smart in some ways though, making himself synonymous with 'conscious rap' eventhough he makes nothing of the kind "yo, for the people, we are all equal, bla bla bla." It's weird to see his name being brought up like this IMO, especially when there's Black Thought.Mindbender Futurama wrote: i like how he says how Jay should rhyme like Talib Kweli now. he's dead right.
And yeah, who is this guy and why is he giving advice to succesful rappers?
Whether to Jason of Philaflava or John Podesta, I will speak my fucking perspective openly

this was pretty good. The dude is taking it in the right direction. and yup I gotta agree with the MB.
I think this is one of those few, FEW, cases where MB actually brings something good to the table, but y'all are so used to jumpin all over his shit, you didn't even hear the song without bias.
and whoever said Jay isn't rich... fuckin retard. is he upper middle class?Mindbender Futurama wrote: Jay-Z could spit Fu-Schnicken speed pro-Illuminati Roc Nation Empire rap and it would go double platinum right now. Not only that, it would influence the game as it stands.

doesn't really matter. i know that he is a dude who made a great first impression on me though.Philaflava wrote:Who the fuck is this guy though?
truth is truth.
why would someone need money to make a comment on the state of things?
the best part about it, is that he never comes off like a hater.
he's not even the greatest rapper, but the song is well-thought out and executed.

Dude's from New Orleans. I saw him do an opening set for The Knux and Lupe Fiasco over a year ago. Show was lame.
This song is over a year old, also. I think he just recently decided to make a video for it, though.

A CHANGE HAS COME!!! Witness the rebirth of Hip-Hop as it re-manifests itself in the form of the lyrical impresario Dee-1, New Orleans next hidden gem destined to take over the game.
Penning soon to be thought provoking classics like Young Obama, One Man Army, & I Hate Money, Dee is one of a small number of Hip-Hop artists that specialize in making music that has a positive and uplifting message while still appealing to the masses. Growing up in New Orleans, home of the likes of Lil Wayne, Soulja Slim, B.G. and The Birdman, Dee-1 admits to being exposed to the same circumstances as the artists that put New Orleans on the map but is determined to represent "The Big Easy" with a different viewpoint by using inspirational and insightful rhymes in his music.
