I know for a fact Primo was HEAVY into crack cocaine in the 90s. Honestly I thought many people knew this. He is a notorious porn addict too so I didn't think I was saying anything new. Regardless of the comment (an obvious joke) I think he is a bit out of touch and older these days so I am not really that surprised by the statement at all.

All you have to do is look at all the rappers Primo has thrown beats to in the last few years.

i wouldnt say he's out of touch - ive heard his radio show a few times and he's definitely on top of what new artists are around.
As far as I can tell Primo is pretty much open to working with anyone. Maybe if Nas didnt select such shitty beats and Jay Z wasnt so obsessed with appealing to 14 year olds they'd take a beat or 2 from him now and again.
